I think I prefer the single edit cuz the album version is a bit too long  The animated video is cool and maybe it's better like this rather than using rehearsal footage that doesn't fit the song.Welcome 2 The Dawn | |

The trampling over and the mess they are making of his legacy is what is upsetting me. The versions of the songs they used in Originals were often not the best versions which shows they don't really know his material. They also fucked around with the mixing and adding echo etc. I also expected them to be sensitive to the views he actually expressed in his lifetime. He didn't want holograms of himself so why the hell would he want private rehearsal videos released and corny cartoons made of him when tnere are hundreds of fully completed projects in the vault?! He as much as told us so by NOT having a will so all this “he would have wanted this and he wouldn’t have wanted that” is not about Prince, it’s about you and others who try the same thing. ^ That's assuming he didn't leave a will. A lot of his closest collaborators and lovers insist he did have one, so what was done with it?!?! VERY CONVENIENT for a certain record company.
A cursory understanding of Prince and his career would clearly show you this is not in keeping with views clearly expressed in his lifetime. Don't you think his legacy deserves a lot better than these rush releases? Wouldn't you prefer a 4 CD box set per album than souped up unfinished demos released as if they were a complete album?!

The clip was fun. I liked how it was basic, letting the song shine. The filmation-like quality was reminiscent of the 80's, even scrolling to the left like eye wish u heaven. It was like havin him back for a second... |

I like the video, I think it’s fun. The raspberry beret cartoon favored him even less and he had some control over that, so the likeness doesn’t really bother me too much. My daughter loves the video and continued singing Rock rock holly rock when it was over, so I think it was a success. |

It's kinda cute. Better than just a straight lyric video. If I had to picky, and I am because I'm a Prince fan, some of the hairdo/outfit combos aren't accurate, and one of those hairdos Prince didn't even have. But they're small criticisms I guess.
