Hello, Michael. I'm just sending a note--though we don't know each other--because I had a subscription for a few years to Controversy. Edwena Brunell aka Blue was my United States rep, and I have so many wonderful memories of that magazine. Blue even helped after I purchased my copies of the Lovesexy Concert on VHS and I didn't know that I had to get them converted to play them in the US. I also loved Blue's tape lending library that jump-started my bootleg collection. Anyway, not much to add about the upcoming book, but I read your mention of Controversy, and all these great memories came flooding to me. I hope your friend has much success with the new book, and I'll keep an eye for it.

I have every issue of Controvery magazine.

Sounds like good news to me.

With so many biographies on Prince these days, it´s hard to choose the right ones.

Duane Tudahl´s book and Marylou´s book are two books I definitely want to buy.

What, in your opinion, are the strengths of this one ?

You know....some books are more personal, some focus more on particular albums and the recording process, some are a bit gossipy....what makes this one stand out to you, apart from the fact that she knew him ?

Thanks OFFS 😀 Marylou was alerted to this mistake and had already rectified it. Here is Marylou's response: "Thanks to the eagle-eyed fans who realized, due to the poster in the background, this pix is actually from 1979. It means there's another picture somewhere in my boxes of the signing. I appreciate the Heads-up. I want the book to be as accurate as is possible!"
