what do you guys think of judas' stories? I had a gay friend before who said he heard rumours of eddie murphy being gay, i dismissed it at the time because this gay guy just came out of the closet and he was just projecting gay on everyone, even me, which ended our friendship, he did some wierd things and I didn't like it. anyway, his story about eddie at least seems to be true after all these years.

As far a Judas's stories I would
Have to have him weight in on the person's character. Is the persons claim believable because he has demonstrated a certain level of honesty in his life.
I think since only judas knows then he is really the only one who can honestly
Choose to Believe or not. Homoerotic doesn't mean gay of course.
I was in a performance dance troupe that was all lesbian. I auditioned for the company and was chosen then told the material I would be performing and the
Nature of its content. I said I didn't have a problem with it if they were ok
With me performing it and that I wasn't a lesbian. They said they were fine.
I think it is possible to put forth art that reflects the natures of man and it
Be true to the story your telling with out it being neccesarily your personal reality. I guess now I see that people probably thought I was gay, but I was doing what I loved for a living and telling stories that a certain audience wanted told and that was the most important think at the time was to give voice to those
Seldom heard stories. I hope those people who saw the work appreciated my attempt
Even tho I was not gay.

Homo-eroticism does not necessarily mean gay. This topic always goes there because some people can't handle it. And thanks for the visual of Prince getting a thermometer stuck up his butt - that's so nice.

Right, and it also doesn't mean male-homosexuality. I think female homoeroticism is overlooked here. And it is probably more prevalent in Prince's 'scene'.

yep, even the 'spilling of the seed' had nothing to do with homosexuality.
I was told a long time ago that that was used as a law against masturbation.
.
But the 'spilling of the seed' was only in connection to a rule that if your brother did not/could not produce children for the sake of family inheritance, a brother or cousin would have to 'mate' with the wife until a child was produced. The space in the torah that talks about a judgment agains a man 'spilling the seed' was in connection to that. Not homosexuality or masturbation. He had intercourse with the 'sister in law' but 'pulled out' and 'spilled the seed'.

Please tell me that if God stuck you for spilling the seed for maturbating why you would not get it for spilling in some dude. No chance of procreation either way. In addition to Soddom and Gomorrah. The Bible is against sex outside of marriage what would make you think that sex with the same sex would get a pass. https://www.bible.com/bib....22-23.nlt Maybe stealing, sleeping with someone else's spouse, killing or okay as well. Are you really gonna make me say he was anti gay? Research why Roadhouse Garden was scrapped. Do you think he's Joking about the bearded lady? Coincidence that he went on Ellen and played Bambi? I'm not saying he hated gay people, but let's just say he was spiritually against it.

You think so? I see it more as trying to keep people on topic. We, myself included, have a tendency to make a comment or two that's just a bit related to the topic, but then it devolves into further conversation that doesn't belong within the thread. I'd rather see numerous threads being made and staying pretty much on topic within each than everything jumbled into threads the info has nothing to do with. It's miserable to backtrack and find things then. It's a lot more work for the mods too and they don't even get paid to do this and put up with our crap. Being a mod on any forum is a thankless job wink

ETA: See how easily that happened? Don't be surprised if this post is snipped because it's off topic! nod lol

Is homo-eroticism still homo-eroticism if it's from the POV of a heterosexual male?

.

Songs about banging two chicks doesn't seem particularly homo-erotic to me. Something like the intro to Computer Blue I could say was homoerotic.

Till prince's death revealed his drug use, many here would have been willing to bet their lives prince never did drugs. The same with his sexuality. There is a lot about prince we don't know. And that is as it should be. Man had mystique, shades of gray.

I think it depends on the heterosexual male's 'openess' or comfortlevel. A homophobic man will look at the cover of Lovesexy and think if he buys it people will think he is attracted to men.
I for example grew up around nudity. I've taken figure art classes and had to stare and nude men to draw them.
A homophobic man (or woman) will see two men affectionate as homo-sexual.
I strongly suspect a lot of fans who resist the idea that homo eroticism with Prince in any fashion are female fans who see Prince as their fantasy lover. Which is the reason a lot of women who are 'anti-homo/bisexual' is used, the threat of not having a male partner.

.

No I don't see a song about banging two chicks as homo-erotic either.

Yes the Computer Blue opening can be seen as homoerotic or just erotic involving a man.

I never thought he would not take perscription drugs for ailments or pain. I also know he took X in 1987. We all should know that.

Some people never thought Prince drank wine or would take a perscription drug.

smart azz tease

it was in reply to the person saying, because they are saying people never thought Prince would do 'perscription' drugs that but did, that he could be homosexual.

Stay focused on the train of thought and it won't go off topic.
