These are all the remasters and reissues. The 12" from the album are being reissued as well as the album on vinyl, picture disk, 3CD, 2CD. So - yeah, a pile of motherfuckin' vinyl.

I feel I had a valid point about them fanmade edits, which doesn't mean you or anyone else has to agree, but I feel I should say how I feel about it whenever the topic is raised. To me it's wrong. No one dies, no big deal, but I think it's wrong, so I just say it in passing, people remain free to do as they please in the end anyway

I see what you mean with the fan-made boots. Yet, the This Could Be Us one was amazing, clearly labelled as fan-made and the guy who made it only shared with me because as I asked him, he made it for his own use. I'd do the same, but I'm kind of technologically challenged...

As long as it's between you guys it's cool. The problem is that once it's out, people will change the file title and share it. I've seen a faire share of mislabeled tracks, some of them fanmade or even pure fakes, on both P2P networks and Youtube. Of course I know my shit but I nearly got fooled a few times, and I can imagine if I was a new, enthusastic but naive 14 year old fan today like I used to be in 1991, I could easily assume The Dawn is a real early config of Come/TGE, or that a Mazarati b-side is a Prince outtake, or that an edit of Willing And Able without Tony M. comes from a single, etc. There are already so many real different official edits and mixes of Prince songs that it's easy to get confused.

Once, it took me like 4 or 5 shots to finally put my hand on a clean version of an album, because every circulating version contained a lame, famade techno remix of the lead single (unanounced, of course)!!! Hell, even when you pay it may be tricky: I have sometimes realized that an official album I had purchased was, in fact, a second or third edition that had been messed-up with by the label for commercial purposes. Some Prince releases have also been messed up with on iTunes, God knows why, and I've just discovered recently that most official Bowie compilations contain poor re-creations of the original single edits, instead of the real deal

This being said I do not deny the fact that certain fanmade mixes or mashups can be extremely creative and pleasant to hear. I've heard a few great medleys for example. But if too many of those are doing the rounds, it's gonna be extremely hard to discriminate real vs. fanmade/fake in a few decades from now, because by then there'll be hundreds of them, often mislabeled and mixed-up with the real stuff.

I almost said something after Silvertongue's first post, and had actually started typing before I thought, "databank will say something" ( )--so I didn't. However, since you guys are being so calm and sensible, I'll just drop a line here. It's really easy for a file to get renamed or have its metadata changed, so even if it's initially shared with all sorts of caveats and warnings, those are often lost not too far into the process. It's really only one step from well-marked fan-made curio to "what the--is this fake or what?" For a lot of us, it might not really matter--there's the official stuff, and then there's everything else. But it drives me nuts when I just can't decide, and I have a lot of files I'm not sure about. But I'd hate to miss anything real, so I hold on to them.

They should show you the estimated delivery date. I was under the impression that all pre-orders are generally sent from Amazon to arrive on the day of release, so hopefully yours will turn up tomorrow. Mine says, arriving tomorrow, but I'd be mad if it didn't because I've got Amazon Prime delivery . Will have to settle for the auto-rip at work anyway as it won't be delivered before I have to leave in the morning.

Simply send them a mail via their customer department at https://www.bol.com/nl/m/...ndex.html especially if the status of your parcel at the PostNL page is 'Zending is aangemeld maar nog niet ontvangen door PostNL'.

They called me back and explained they would send me another CD set.

So their service appeared quite OK to me.

Poom Poom and the original Tick Tick Bang are top songs, as far as I'm concerned. And while I agree that Velvet Kitty Cat isn't his best, even on that disc there are Possessed and Love and Sex, so it can get a lot worse.

I ordered from H.M.V. Thinking really i should just go and buy it from the shop, but hoping it would come early! It hasnt! Annoying because they seemed to have got it in good time to send it! Nevermind! I will just have to fight with the wife and the kids for abit of peace while i try to take it in. just my luck at the moment!

If you've ordered from Amazon you should be able to listen to it online from midnight.
