Still waiting for official confirmation, the content of the two DVD's has only been speculated although it seems that Syracuse with remastered audio is one of them.

Utter nonsense . What % would be unhappy with tracks not heard of before. Unheard tracks I want. .The excitement level would go up. If rumours are true 3 discs out of 4 are already released officially. Weather you know of the boots or not. They are giving you as little extra as possible.

Can we at least get an official announcement and a price before we start talking about what is or isn't good value and whether or not the 'extras' are worth it.

I for one, am very gratefull to Warners as we seem to get alot more than I was expecting, you can see that they have really tried (harder than I ever thought possible) to please us. I cant wait to hear "Erotic City" remastered...that song in paticular I think is gonna sound incredible remastered...with all the whistles, different vocal's and the general alien sound of it, and Im really excited to hear Disc 3....as unlike most of you, ive never heard any of those songs before.....ano people are moaning that there isnt enough on the final disc....but I for one think we have theres quite alot on there.....75 mins worth?.....i thought they would milk the cow for another collection and just give us 25 mins worth....thank you warners!! ...and much more importantly thank you for all the amazing music of the past, and all that you have left for us to discover in the future prince

They would never listen. There agenda is make as much money as possible for as little material as possible. Why bother. Would emailing them about 4ever and Blu-ray box set have done any good. This is a company who thought they can add 1 extra track and resell an hits package for umpteenth time. And told us to treat 7"edits even on 4ever like unreleased gems. Warner's have been terrible. 3 releases since princes death and made a pigs ear out of all. Best for them to holding back details to save themselves a backlash.

But you should email them. It's more productive than ranting on a noticeboard. There have been a few U-turns from labels recently re deluxe reissues that have a disappointing tracklisting, owing to getting complaints, with the resolution being an improved list of tracks. What's there to lose?

I'm too lazy to go clicking around and know there are some extremely knowledgeable folk here who have this info memorized...

Are the edits compiled on disc 2 everything that was contemporarily released? I can see why they include it, the whole picture gathered together, documenting the album, blah blah blah, but if it's just bits and pieces and not comprehensive that doesn't make sense then. Those single edits are the versions that were hits after all. Even though I'll never listen to 'em. Also some of those have never been on CD before or are pretty hard to find no?
