Clearly, the intent was to make a 'funny' picture looking like she was picking Prince's nose. Otherwise, she'd have kept her hand and finger down and had a very nice picture of Prince's lovely face next to hers. But stupid is, as stupid does, I guess. Carry on. bored

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

~sigh~ Well if the intent was to cause a meltdown on the board ... good job.

Now, what exactly is a "real fan" and how does one achieve that status?

Your weenie and your finger are 2 different things and Prince isn't your grandma.

i was just trying to give you a frame of reference but obviously you're missing it. How about i take a pic of you, wipe my ass with it and take a pic and send it to your whole family?

Of course I get it but you are still blowing this thing way out of proportion hence the comparisons you're making trying to get your point across.

It was silly and unnecessary but it isn't the blasphemy that you, TC and others in here are making it out to be. When the girl does in fact take a picture of Prince down and wipe her ass with it or takes off her pants and sits on a photo of Prince's face then you'll have a case. This however is harmless unless maybe you're a relative of Prince?

blasphemy? no, disrespectful yes. I used the Elvis analogy, he's another artist where I think everything gets distorted and the best of him gets not just a little but completely overlooked for the bullshit. The vegas years, the excess, the craziness. it's a goofy, fun look at a serious artist and an illustration of how little respect he gets for what he ventured out and gave us. So not blasphemy, they aren't gods and they would be the first to tell you that and as one of my other main heroes said when he described why he fought too long "I got lost, everybody gets lost sometimes". Human nature and American mentality being what it is, we like to see our heroes as fatally flawed, bigger than life to the point of parody. it distorts them, at least for me, I'm more concerned with the guy susan rogers described in the studio, the workhorse, the guy who didn't need people around him and in fact locked them away while he concocted his brilliance without hubris, without flash with nothing but good old fashioned hard work. That's the most important guy to me, not the dancer, the celeb or any of that.

Sorry, but who's going to be crying the loudest when these types of things keep happening and Paisley Park gets shut down by P's family who are going to be tired of the disrespect that happens by so-called 'fans'? Either it gets shut down or each and every person is followed and monitored by a guard. What's it going to be?

maybe they should raise the ticket price, i don't know what the price is but if people are coming in like that, they aren't fans just people who like to get close to fame in some way. Hit them in the pockets, it'll penalize the rest of us but sometimes that's the best way to get people to appreciate things. Ever try giving away something for nothing? It's just human nature, people don't appreciate it. that lack of respect goes way past what your giving away and it goes to a lack of respect to your own person. Being the good hearted guy I am, I have told myself many times "never again" when I offer things for no recoup, just out of kindness. And everytime someone breaks out some real ungrateful shit and I tell myself I need to learn. Hopefully, the folks at PP will learn.

I checked your posts, you seem a little insulted some white kid did some Marvin type stuff, so I'd think you'd get the idea of disrespect. Prince is just as good an artist as Marvin was if not better. Now, singer? well, that's different but hey, it's marvin.

It wouldn't be a bad thing if the estate cancelled these tours of Paisley Park. Paisley Park is a legendary complex that houses some of the best pop, funk and rock music ever made by a musician from albums, films, rehearsals, soundchecks and faith based discussions-all the aforemetioned came from Prince's creativity and risk taking. I would love Paisley Park become the midwest counterpart to Electric Ladyland-rent studio time to clients and function as an ongoing recording studio and film hub. The museum, especially with this lady in the photo, seems crass and beneath Prince. It makes Prince seem like a relic rather than the forward thinking maverick he was.

There are always people doing stupid stuff, no surprise at all. What does surprise me is how happy everyone visiting the park looks on their instagrams in general. I am going in April and get a little teary just thinking about it. I have not seen many photos of people who appear somber or reflective during their visit. I have no desire to have my photo taken with a poster or at his piano, I want to breath the air and feel the vibration, but it still make me sad.

Are you going to be at the celebration event? The family Twitter account says more things are being planned for April. They haven't provided any details yet.

Ticket prices are steep. General admission is around $40. VIP is $100. PP After Dark is $60. All of these prices are if your order in advance. They also add on another fee on top of those prices. Tickets are more expensive if you just happen to be in the area and drop by to take a tour. These are not cheap tickets. That's why I don't get why folks are doing these type of things. Guess they have money to burn.....

40 bucks isn't much these days, that's the price of a bag of groceries. they should raise it to five hundred, cries of exploitation be damned

The family has got to have some way to pay the bills at PP. Prince wanted it to be a museum.

But is the museum aspect really even making a dent in the estate needs?

I would like to think it is helping them. The tickets for the celebration in April, are sold out. Looks like they are also renting it out for some events.

OK you're making accusations you have no reason to make. Maybe you should actually listen to that "song" and hear for yourself how "Marvin Gaye" it is before assuming I have a problem with it because it's sung by a white person.

IMHO calling a girl "pizza face" is certainly as disrespectful as possibly having light fun with a picture. You'd think Prince never put up bunny ears behind someone or teased or made fun of anyone - ever.

Prince has died, but he is not some deity. Jokes can be made in Prince's "house" just like anyone else's. She might have just been having some good-natured fun. Tranquilo, por favor.

A person can make a Prince joke and still love him dearly.

Sticking your finger up his nose is making a joke? Huh? I'm sorry but if she meant this to be a joke she's demented.

It's just not as serious an act as many people are making it out to be. You could call it in poor taste or crude, for sure, but acting like the woman committed some heinous act is way overboard.

I'm not sure how $40 is steep. I see restaurants and bars packed every day. People are spending more than $40 there for sure. If they price it too low then it either won't make enough money to be worth it and for sure will attract people that aren't fans who are just going because it's something to do and is cheap.
