You're so right...I just sent a friend of mine (who didn't realise she was a Prince fan until she started listing all of his songs she likes) the First Avenue YT video of 'EI' and she LOVED it.

I think, if it was marketed correctly, it could be a big hit; it's THAT good a song.

I will be downloading this illegally. To expect a fan who already oens these songs (and these particular edits) to pay for one unreleased song which we've had since the 90s all because it's in better quality is ridiculous.

no i have not but it is meant to be a way to "Pay" for it even if it is not officaly for sale as a indiviual song.

Apologies if someone has already raised it but I can't help perceiving a 'grudge' about the 'symbol' period in this release.
It has nothing after Prince 'died' (for WB purposes) in 1993, specifically excludes his 'freedom bid TMBGITW, a big worldwide success and UK No.1) and uses images from that period he seems not to have approved but which, clearly, were commissioned by WB.
Above all, it's pretty useless as who didn't buy up the hits post-April if they hadn't already had them and such rebags were just exactly what he'd been about avoiding 4EVER.

I also don't like that the unreleased song's alternative title (at least on boots) was 'A Better Place To Die'. I really don't like that and will stop short of saying 'Boycott!' but it's close to what I feel about it.

Hoping that it and PR+ are contract-filler with WB and that NPG will get back to defiance afterward. Whether that means VAULT or NO VAULT depends upon the 'real will' that's no doubt spread over many documents at NPG.

I'd love lotsa vault but I'm cool with NPG keeping that cream if that's what he wanted.
