He could have been in so much pain he did not know what to do or maybe he was trying to get to his phone. He was not in pain that's certain. He passed due to fentanyl toxicity. The last thing he was in would be pain. I'm not even sure at that point he would have recognized he was in imminent danger. That's one question that haunts me: was he going to his quarters or leaving his quarters? Was he going to retire for the night, or was he going for help? What exactly was he aware of at that moment? I hate the thought of him dying alone in an elevator when he realized his life was in danger and was trying to find help. [Edited 12/13/16 12:11pm] It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. If he did not take the Fent deliberately, then he probably popped one or more pills, thinking it was the same old product. Collapsed in the elevator with his clothes on incorrectly - that is the wild card for me. Too many questions.

[Edited 12/13/16 12:50pm] If he took enough fentanyl to kill him he would have been quite "high" idk how else to say it. Breathing is not quite "cut off" and by the time you are aware (if you aren't too high to be aware) that your respiratory rate is affected you would more than likely "pass out" before there was any suffering other than a brief moment of panic perhaps thinking "oh f*** this isn't normal". We will never know for sure but I agree. From what I've read he would have died almost instantly. I guess he might have had a few seconds were he said to himself, I know I'm slipping away . [Edited 12/15/16 21:44pm] I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.
