I really hope Tyka doesn't visit this forum. sad Frankly I find some of the comments here more disrespectful than the arrangement of the urn. No one has to like the urn, so don't visit it. Unbelievable.

I hadn't fucking planned on it but now it's plastered in People and on the internet. I suppose now it'll be said Prince texted that he wanted that too, right? Talk about UNBELIEVABLE!

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Yes, this could have been a wish he requested of Tyka. If she really knew his time was short she may have discussed his wishes before hand. As his only full blooded sibling she would know better than anyone what he may have wanted. I believe she loved her brother and wouldn't do anything to disrespect him.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, and have no problem with this.

I am more disturbed by the media and their fucking fascination with it. Prince was way more than a fucking urn.

Honestly outside of "fams" freaking out over it it's not getting that much attention.

See below a whole rack of articles about the damm urn.

https://news.google.com/news/story?ncl=dSkzeFh-zzUVGLMvEicYljVl6Hv3M&q=prince&lr=English&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiv9-2MzNHPAhWF_R4KHeD-At4QqgIIJTAA

Maybe I've taken too many chill pills but I honestly don't care about the urn. It doesn't bother me. Of all the things for me to care about this is like at the bottom of the list.

Prince wanting his urn on public display seems very, very unlike him to me. After 30 yrs that is my observation, & I am allowed 2 feel the way I do. I am still shocked about this. Unless this is the borg I am entitled 2 my opinion.

Tyka revealing what he said 2 yrs ago...and finding out about the urn the other day had me in tears. I/We are allowed our feelings. We've loved the man 4 most of our lives. I don't insult the family or call them names, but some things do not feel right 2 me at all.

Agreed...I think since weve shared a good part of our lives being Prince fans that our feelings do matter regardless of what some want to say. I'll always be saddened about how Prince died and the fact that now it has been revealed that some knew he was dying sad It just feels wrong.

It's definitely one of a kind. You can see how much care was put into it. My opinion doesn't matter. If it makes the family happy, that's the important thing.

This is jarring, because its not his aesthetics or plan clearly.

Although, someone gave care and effort in their own way to making and sharing it, which is very beautiful and most important I'd like to think. Trying.

I've thought about it since Tyka's interview and after we found out that the security system was off and I'm not so sure that P didn't want to be alone that night. I dunno.

Does dignity in death mean nothing or is it a free for all because Prince was PRINCE? Do not be fooled into thinking this is anything other than explotative paid promotion & Prince's remains are being used for that purpose. I personally struggle see how that can be justified & I will never be comfortable with even the thought let alone the reality. As I have said before, Prince did not live like a Kardashian, we all know how sacred his privacy was to him - this was OBVIOUS, made starkly clear over & over again throughout his life - it's not projecting to have the belief that Prince would NOT be ok with this. To dismiss all that just because he is no longer here is baffling to me. This is when it matters most to show respect to him.

If the family thought showing the fans the urn would aid their healing process why not post it to their twitter or on facebook?

I also don't think the urn should be on display at Paisley. No one has said that shouldn't be his final resting place but why on earth does the urn need to be part of the museum tour?

Yesterday I saw a clip on facebook of Prince in 2013/14 on stage. Someone is taking his picture & he says something like "please put your camera down, you're not at the circus/zoo" - well now we are & he is the main attraction in this sideshow. Memorial memorabilia, his home the place he died a museum whilst the death investigation is still going on, ex-wife from years ago writing romance novels, so called friends selling anything they can that's connected to him & now the resting place of his remains on display for the world - all this not even 6 months in? It's a freak show & he deserves better than this.

This is PRECISELY how I feel! For all intents and purposes, Prince was music ROYALTY! A true LEGEND in every sense of meaning! And for the most part since his passing, I've kept my thoughts and opinions to myself out of respect for him and all that entails. Yet, while I actually do agree that PP was his home and rightfully should be his final resting place. I could not help but say, "HELL FUCK NO!" about his remains being on display like some damn carnival exhibit. no no no!

And now that the pictures were purposely released, every dumbass Tom, Dick, and Jane on the internet that didn't like nor respect Prince has access to them, I simply cannot fathom in the least bit, that's something Prince would have ever wanted, in any way. disbelief

So my heart is aching because I am seriously torn and at the crossroad, not knowing what to do nor which way to go. As far as I'm concerned, the absolutely FANTASTIC rollercoaster ride that I've been on for the last 38 years has jumped the track because the true DRIVER is gone!

From my seat, the way I honestly see it. I have two options. I can hold on and try to help the new drivers gain control and steer things in the right direction. Or I can eject myself from this bullshit and land safely in the comfort zone of my memories and compulsive hording packrat-ism--- where I do, can and will--- very HAPPILY kick it with Prince any time I want to. touched

Decisions...decisions? hmmm

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

yeahthat I can't help to feel the same. Also the old tour stuff for sale at PP - like leftovers from a meal. I know it is not meant to be that way & they need to raise money, but it just looked so sad. Like a "garage sale" or "yard sale" of the deceased............(but I am being sensitive maybe? Its been a tough couple of weeks for us all)

It's a model of Paisley. This all seems a bit tasteless and tacky and ill conceived. My hunch is that his ashes are in the lift in the model.
.
My love and prayers go to Tyka and the family, i know they're trying to share and I love them for that. And at the end of the day it's their business anyway - he shared his life with us. In their way they're trying to do the same.
.
Personally even if I was in the USA I wouldn't be able to go to Paisley. He's not there now, he passed there and that it's being turned into Prinsneyland. But I know a lot of you will find release from going. I'll just smoke a fag outside the academy in manchester every once in a while and remember.
