the more significant think in the story is the fentanyl overdose appears to have happened because the fentanyl was in a bottle labeled as hydrocodone, fetnanyl is vastly more powerful than hydrocodone

Now the image is his body and mind is so in shock he couldn't put his clothes on fast enough or correctly so he could get help!!! 
And I was just starting to come to terms with his passing. This s%^& is for the birds, really.Everything was on wrong? Everything but underwear? Everything? Both socks inside out? | |

This article is depressing as hell if it is true. For one thing, he was clueless as to the strength of the pills he was given. My theory is that someone got him the supposed hydrocodone illegally because no legit doctor would give it to him legally. He thought it was hydrocodone but it was instead fentanyl. When he realized he had taken something else, he threw on his clothes and just didn't make it to a phone or help quick enough.
The article indicated that counterfit drugs were sometimes fentanyl instead of what they were labeled as. I don't think the person who got the drug knew they were giving him the wrong stuff. But whoever obtained those drugs for him should face jail time (IMO).
Also sad (if it is true) is that he was on pills for localized pain (lidocaine [sic]) and anti-anxiety pills (alprazolam) apparently. Poor guy. NOt sure whether the anti-anxiety pills were for his withdrawal symptoms as a result of the Narcon or just something he was always on.
I know too many people (especially middle aged people) on pills like these. People need to find other ways to deal with anxiety and pain.

He was probably wearing underwear at the time. But when he went to grab his clothes they were on the floor or something (like maybe he had taken them off earlier and then after taking the pills just grabbed them off the floor throwing them on the way they laid. | |

I am devastated.
This article looks legit and it seems that, IF it's true: 1) he took a pill(s) labeled hydrocodone - but the pill(s) contained fentanyl without him knowing it. (I'm crying right now) 2) he was also taking a rather strong benzodiazepine (Xanax) and a narcotic (Percocet). That's a potential respiratory depression risk already. But my guess is he had become used to the latter 2 drugs -- it's the unknowingly adding of the fentanyl that pushed his system over the edge. 3) clothes on backwards makes me wonder if he was so out of it from the fentanyl that he didn't know what he was doing. Prescription medications are killing people. I am just so sad over this and I felt my first real anger just now. I am so glad he doesn't have to feel this pain or fear again. "Sources" could mean anything. I don't know what 2 think anymore. I give up. Just gonna do my best 2 wait & pray the investigation is thorough & the basic facts are clarified. If he did get these counterfit pills from a pharmacy than that is seriously screwed up.
If he got them illegally than whoever fetched them for him should go to jail even if he/she didn't know they were not hydrocodone.
God, I hope no one intentionally gave him fentanyl.
