I understand. Yet in spite of that no one has shown one shred of proof either that this isn't true. Do you have information that says he is not an intensivist physician? I mean, why say it if it isn't true, what is there to be gained? There's very little info on him out there.

These links are just from the first page of results if you Google his name and 'MN' and 'MD'. Most of the sites contain the same information about him (and none of them list him as an intensivist or critical care doctor, or even as one of his specialties. I have only seen one sketchy, seemingly unreliable, site that does). Most, if not all, of these linked sites - a few are articles, others are review sites for medical professionals - describe him as a family medicine physician with special interest in obstetrics.

And the fact remains that the position this doctor held at the time of his treating/seeing Prince was as a family medicine doctor. So why is anybody interested in claiming he's anything else but that? I must have missed something because I don't understand why it's even an issue even being debated?

*I tried to make all the above links clickable but couldn't figure out how. Sorry.

I made the grave mistake of reposting what another org member had posted in response to someone elses question and now I'm being sliced and diced for it. It's the org way wink I agree with you, why would anyone say he's an intensivist if he isn't and why am I being grilled over it since I couldn't care less? Thanks for all of your links, I'd also seen them in my own searches.

Morningsong, there's no need to be condescending, I didn't take that tone with you and don't expect you to take it with me. This isn't information that's nonsensical nor irrelevant, but it's out there and there is no reason whatsoever for anyone to have made it up. Even if you don't like it, it's there.

Oh yes there is when someone counters with a crappy statement. And bs there isn't NO information that's nonsensical, it's called a frikkin' lie. There have been tons of misinformation around here being spread like it's gospel, sorry if feelings get hurt but dumping a load of bullcrap and expecting me to call it rose petals isn't going to happen. I know how to find my own fairy tales thank you very much. I want to know what the heck happened to Prince. Period.

Good grief. Please find something or someone else to take your anger out on. I reposted something that someone else said, it's not the end of the world and your anger and aggressive behavior over this is unreasonable.

So you're saying these place listed on the internet are not past places he was working but are current places since the criminal investigation started?

Funny you are the only person who has seemed to have located his current whereabouts..

-- They cannot comprehend that he may have been treating Prince for withdrawals or anything for that matter. I am more troubled by his half dozen different practices he appears to have.

He appears to have moved from one medical facility to another a couple/few times, so that would explain a couple of the different locations listed online. but the other thing to bear in mind is that a lot of doctors here in the Cities have offices in different suburbs, but still in the same health system. (I suppose that common everywhere though.) But so anyway when you search a doctor's name, any office location that doctor sees patients at will come up, and then it can look like that doctor has a multitude of different 'practices' when in actuality it's just that the doctor see patients at various locations on different days. Also a lot of doctors down here seem to move around frequently to different healthcare systems (and their old locations/clinics still come up in search results too)

Thanks for clarifying. smile I myself am of the opinion that Prince was indeed dealing with a very serious health issue alongside the chronic pain/painkiller issue - but yeah, it doesn't appear that this Schulenberg guy would've been the one treating Prince for anything like that.

-- He had no background in pain management either.

Nope doesn't seem he did. For the kind of pain Prince was dealing with, this Dr S doesn't seem like the correct choice of physician. I think Prince saw him a couple times at Kirk's recommendation and to maybe to get the most current status on things like blood counts, electrolytes, etc before Prince met with the doctor from California. My opinion is that this Dr S was a kind of 'stop gap' doctor (especially if Prince didn't have a longstanding, current primary care doctor of his own) and he got caught up into something a lot bigger than he was anticipating.

Sounds like a dangerous cocktail made by someone with bad intentions, because nobody would knowingly, or, consciously take all of this stuff at once unless they really wanted to hurt themselves. And we all know Prince did not roll that way.

Prince would never take anything to harm himself. Prince was set-up to look like a "druggie".

Two of the band mates (can't remember the names, sorry) said in an interview They knew Prince had started having seizures again (thus, the need for xanax, which is what I also take for seizures) and had a heart murmur.

I was told he was severely anemic, white blood count was very high. He couldn't hold down food, so mostly drank smoothies or shakes,if that.

IE.Phone: There is a land line in his office off the main studio on the second floor, his bedroom was also there on the second floor off that same studio. He sent out a few business emails and personal messages that night, so he did make it to his office or bedroom and to his laptop.

I don't know, this is so fn disturbing.

He messaged me the Thursday afternoon of the plane landing, in the afternoon, just after I heard. He said he was fine, not to worry about him... he was going to be OK. He told me to go rest, he was worried I'd have a seizure. He told me he loved me and to know that he would always be here for me and, again, he would be fine.

Then, He asked that I make sure to tell the family (fans) how much he loved them and to thank them for him.

That just left me more alarmed, but he kept insisting he was going to be OK.

Kirk's profile says he's been a trainer at lifetime fitness since 2012. I wonder if it's the one in Chanhassen. I've never seen him there but usually when I go it's later at night.

My husband used to work for Lifetime Fitness from 2012-2014 and I asked him if the name sounded framiliar and he said no, but they have many many trainers and clubs so it is entirely possible. Just thought I'd add that.

Speaking only for myself, I do follow the music discussions, but mostly I'm looking for info on the music he produced when I was attending to other things in life...I was in and out over the years. I just don't have as much to contribute on the threads that I'm following. Here, I'm interested in what happened to him (my way of grieving) and I do try to pull back on some of the wilder theories.

And then there's just the curiousity as to how long this thread can go on and how many wild turns it might take. eek

Thats cool. I just dispair over the direction this is all going. I've never been a 'cool aid' supporter of the org (which has always been negative as well as positive) but this is disappearing into a cess pool of tabloid gossip and obsession over Prince's death rather than his life.

The influx of ambalance chasers has wrecked even this fragile community. It seems as if the long term posters have run for the hills and been replaced by a swarm of self proclaimed fams who virtually only contribute to threads surrounding his death.

I hear ya. That's why I sometimes just go to the fun threads or the music threads on some days. I think people are trying to come to terms with his death since it was such a shock. I think that things will get better once the heirs are named, someone permanent is in charge of his legacy (hopefully who has a plan), maybe vault music is released, and the investigation is over. I really hope it all doesn't drag on too long.

Wow this thread is insane! The most plausible and rational explanation at this point in time is that Prince was addicted to prescription pain killers and overdosed on black market pills laced with fentanyl. He hid the pills in various bottles and places and this had been going on for a while. Given he got into trouble the week before he died, this is just reckless. The morale of the story: One, don't buy into the public persona, he was human after all. And two, life is short so focus on having close famliy and friends you can trust and love you for the person you are. As Prince's cousin said, be free to say to your next of kin - hey I am not feeling well, help me.

THANK YOU

It is crazy how some fans, oops I mean fam, thinking that they knew Prince behind close doors based on what he presented us publicly. I read a blind item just two years that he was still cursing but not publicly anymore. I wish I can find that blind item. I loved Prince and all but you are right he was only human and like human walking contradictions.

And before April 21st I have no idea Prince was even using drugs period much less had remains shock he have some bad shit illicit fentanyl that was found in his system as he publicly expressed his anti-drug stance.

Prince was Prince! He always did things his way! Life a MYSTERY. Death a MYSTERY! He did not want and would NOT let everyone know what was going on! He WON again! Prince was NOT a drug addict! He left this level the way he wanted to! He was a very intelligent individual. He left at a point where the real reason he made this choice would not be listed on his death certificate. He could not do it any other way. One must put all of the known factors together and the answer is right there. His last post - but then it was deleted - "Just when you thought you were safe".

Oh ok I didn't know that, I haven't seen Mr. Johnson (not sure I'd even be able to recognize him honestly nowadays) when I've worked out at the Chanhassen Lifetime club either, but yes Lifetime has so many employees so it isn't surprising he worked there.

I personally believed that he was dealing with (at least) chronic facial tics based on what I've seen on various interviews over the years. My nephew is a medication controlled epileptic but can still have seizure activity based on lack of sleep, losing or gaining too much weight too soon or extreme stress. I have an emergency dosage suppository for him in case I cannot get him to breathe within a certain amount of time, while waiting for the ambulance. I am so sorry for your personal loss.

Where is this interview? I'm curious to know how recent these band mates are claiming he had started having seizures again? Because if he hadn't been having seizures since he was a young child, he definitely needed a medical evaluation to determine the cause. It would not be good to be trying to self-medicate for seizures without seeing a doctor. And since it was reported he had no prescriptions for controlled substances in MN in the last 12 months, was he getting Xanax illegally too?

Exactly! I mean seriously, like WTF? So now we're supposed to believe that Prince brought clothes that he wasn't comfortable in, so he regularly wore them backwards...on purpose. And those closest to him never saw anything at all wrong with that?

Wow. After all the weird things we've heard about Prince over the years, this strikes you as unbelievable? Believe me, if Prince wanted to wear his clothes backwards, nobody was going to tell him no. If it kept him happy, fine.

I have no idea if this Lala person is believable or in a position to actually know, but seriously. Why is this so incredibly shocking?

What strikes me as unbelievable is the convenience and ridiculousness of the explaination. It gets reported that when Prince was found deceased, his clothes were on backwards and suddenly it's like... "Oh yeah, you know, Prince often lounged around with his clothes on backwards because he didn't like V-necks."

But even if it's true and it kept him happy, as you say. I don't think anything that doesn't make any damn sense should automatically be dismissed just because Prince has been known to do weird things.

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.
