prince....vanity his true love?

Drivig to LA yesterdsy was the 1st time I actually had the courage to listen to my Piano & Microphone music. I only started with MELBOURNE (Vanity) tribute. You could tell he really loved her.

I know when we saw him perform in Oakland the day of her memorial, he got a little emotional. I do believe that her death affected him, the emotionality of having Apollonia, Susan, Brenda, Jill etc there mst added to that as well.

Even Mani has a striking resemblence to her. Thoughts??

Yes I think Denise was very special to him. I do think he loved her probably the hardest and most passionatly out of all his women. Yes I think Mani resembled her very much and that was a huge part of his attraction to her, altough I'm sure her personality sealed the deal for him. But yes I think he always had a piece of his heart reserved for Denise.

I think when Prince loved, he loved a lot. Like the deepest most intense love.

shrug One of his many muses. Given the timing of everything it seems like she was his most prominent muse and he remained connected to her in some way. Her passing must have cut him deep. But I can't get passed the idea he was in a bad place to begin with so it's impossible to weigh whether all this was simply a coincidence or not. He hasn't seemed well for a while and her passing was sudden. It didn't help.

Vanity's death wasnt sudden. She had serious health problems for yrs, was on dialysis daily and in the 6 months or so before she died she developed a condition she knew was terminal

Yes I know that but she wasn't at home in bed languishing away is what I meant. She was fine, as fine was for her, going about her daily business one day and gone the next.

Yes! I agree 100% it was something that never really left him, or he could ever get over. I just hope they had a chance to say good-bye even if it was just over the phone sad sad

Still feel their passing so close 2gether was not as much of a coincidence as some may think..............even people who new them felt she was the love of his life. Ugggh Now i'm sad again sad

Don't be sad. They are reunited in heaven. I don't think their passings so close together was a conincedence either, but it is almost more poetic.

Really? Because people "who knew Prince" said that about Mayte too and then of course Shelia was the one that "got away" and then those that knew him said "Susannah was the love of Prince's life". And let's not forget that he "didn't want to divorce Mani".

I mean come on, I think people that are around Prince when these women were active in his life are going to say that about that particular person.

The ONLY person that can say who he thinks was the "love of his life" is Prince.

Okaaaay, true, he had MANY women that he dated, slept with, got engaged to, married, divorced--------whether he wanted to or not, etc. so yess he loved them all at one point or another. The reason i agree with the Denise thing is after 30 plus yrs, after she died..he didn't need to make that tribute. He could have just said ..a lady i use to know passed today..i want a play a song in her honor...and be done with it...thats not what he did he said many heartwrenching things and really showed major emotion and sadness, and talked about her through out...why do all that??

.

I mean, she was a women he knew over 30 yrs ago. And she's not even in the public eye at that point anymore..he didn't even care oif people cared about her or even knew who the hell all the stories were about???? He also said ''its time for a new story..?'' What?? Was the ''story'' about her this entire time?? Makes no sense if she wasn't that important to him..or his on going muse...?

.

.
