There's an active investigation currently going on and Kirk has retained lawyers who, if they're any good at all, will have instructed him to say nothing and keep quiet. That's why.

1. I have been saying all along: release the full autopsy report.

2. I don't think anyone should be saying anything until the investigation is completed. If people around Prince feel the need to lawyer up, then lawyer up.

3. I believe several people (on the payroll) have known the truth of his "self-medication" for years and, as with many celebrities, they have enabled their employer's addiction. Also, there are probably doctors in that group who have known and of course kept silent.

4. Remember when Britney Spears went off the rails and she was put in a hospital on a psych hold? A 5150? Why didn't anyone push to get Prince into treatment ASAP after the plane incident? I don't care that he was an adult or their employer or their patient: he was a danger to himself and needed to be treated.

WHY would his family agree to release the full autopsy report????? As a society, we have just begun to feel ENTITLED to people's personal medical records. No matter what, Prince is gone. He is not coming back. I think everyone just needs to settle down. I understand that we are all still reeling from his sudden passing, but all this speculation and finger-pointing is just sullying his legacy...and distracting us from the most important thing right now: PROTECTING PRINCE'S MUSICAL LEGACY AND PRESERVING PAISLEY PARK.

Why was this man doing a Piano and Microphone tour when he obviously was going through things? Go home take of self*sigh* That's what's got me puzzled. He wasn't under any obligations. He didn't HAVE to do anything. Soooo....huh? I believe he had HIS reasons, it's just so....irksome? I really would love the opportunity to bop him one, right upside the head. To dream.

It looks like Prince really liked Judith, professional and/or romantical, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, if there is any, for telling her story. I'm happy to know a bit more how it all happened.

But after the twitter catfight and all, I really wanted to play Old Friends 4 Sale today. sad

Is that really how drug overdoses can look? eye've never heard of anyone carrying on a conversation and eating, then suddenly checking out like that in mid-conversation--not as part of a drug overdose in which no obvious drug use was taking place (like as in plain sight)... Anyone have any background knowledge about how that works or length of time between taking a med and simply dying?

Unfortunately, yes this is exactly how it happen sometimes. My mom was an opiate addict and she would nod off and it was really scary. So yes, it can happen just as she described. HE was lucky he wasnt alone when this happened on the plane. If it werent 4 the narcan shot he may have died that night. The opiates were still in his system and the narcan only counteracts their effects, it doesnt take the opiate out of the body. Its sad. so sad.

Thing is it ain't gonna settle down tho is it. Think it's bad in here? (With folks who love him 2 one degree or another). Wait till the world out there starts making trash documentaries etc. If the facts remain sparse into the long term future, they'll be making up all kinds of rubbish for decades 2 come.

Also, who told them about it being an opiod overdose if there was only two people on the plane and Prince was overdosing and unable 2 speak? Doesn't that seem 2 point 2 it being known that he was taking opiods? The medics would not give a Narcon shot as a guess.

yep, it does! And if I was a betting woman I would say that for sure, Kirky J. was well aware of the situation and probably his assistant too. I could see Prince holding it from his bandmates and collaborators but especially holding it from his younger mentees. Since he wanted them to trust him and look up to him and all that jazz.

I betca his need for control which cohabitates with his need for privacy was in the end his vice....and thus the main contributor to him not gettign help sooner. smh in sadness

That was hard to read but I'm glad she spoke up. Kiran sharma has always struck me as arrogant...she needs to take a seat

Why tweet that judith should have told the WHOLE story if she is going to talk To all. I think ms sharma has probably been chomping at the bit to reveal Prince's death circumstances but she has been gagged. OR she doesn't know jack and wishes she did. Self serving woman.

The only part I didn't get about Judith's account is that she did not know he was in pain. If you're so close to somebody maybe even romantically how do you not know they're in pain? How is that possible? I would know if my romantic partner was in pain because it would show itself at certain times
If u know what I mean. His chef knew and she didn't?
Otherwise good she spoke up.

I'm not certain what information could be shared by the Moline health care team with non family, but perhaps Prince told his friends what he was told? Or what he wanted them to know.

This story also makes it clear that Prince was hospitalized overnight. They didn't return to PP until the next afternoon. The first accounts sounded like he received the Narcan injection and then left--but that was not true. Remember the story that there wasn't a private room available? Those ER docs were pulling blood and testing plus monitoring him for at least 10 hours, it seems, and those test results would have also gone to his PCP in Minneapolis.

It sounds like he was unconscious but breathing on the plane. No one was giving him CPR-I'd think Mr. Johnson would have some emergency training as part of his job. Dehydration was mentioned at one time, and perhaps that plus the other symptoms (vomiting etc.) that were reported for more than a month, contributed to his fainting (or what term they call it--did anyone say coma?)

Poor guy. At his age it could have been anything. Heart problems, low blood sugar, pre-diabetes, ulcers, you name it. I think early reports also mentioned anemia.

Perhaps his close friends and staff didn't know much even after he collapsed. Only what he told them. They wouldn't have known what to watch for if they didn't know he was struggling and only a couple people seem to have known anything about his struggles and they were not in the house. At least that's what we're reading.

Here are some side effects of fentanyl transdermal route. http://www.mayoclinic.org...G-20068152

He went to the doctor on April the 7th for withdrawal symptoms. He's been going through withdrawal for months at least, which means somekind of cycle is taking place. Somebody knew something prior to the plane incident.

Now what's frightening is if he thought he was taking Percocet or something else, that would be truly screwed, because from what I've read that is becoming a growing problem, other things are being laced with Fentanyl because it's cheaper.

Well I think what some are hitting on here is the fact of Privacy and Control. PRINCE always had that and now he was going to really be losing it. Someone who really never had scandals and things like that all of a sudden "has an addiction problem" that thrusts him into a whole new world, one that he is not familar with and all of a sudden THE MUSIC that he wants people to know him for will not be what he is known for. I have heard so many scenarios here, but this problem was really bad I think we can all agree, whether it was the pain or just him needing to take it, it was bad and the fact that he took this after a concert or possibly before and after shows he was not in any kind of control and felt he needed it just to go on stage. NOW just something that people may or may not know is, that the BODY adapts to the treatment you are trying just like anything else. So if this worked for him once twice three times each time he took it he needed to take more because his body was becoming immune to it, and it was taking a higher level to help or what his mind felt was help. And again we don't know but the fact that he just lost conscious on the plane while listening or having dinner is just a scary thing. Some have said she is not being truthful but I dont see that or buy it because she could easily be proven wrong and made the fool by anyone on that plane. Again all of this leaves a lot more questions as to Kirky J, and what he knew, obviously he pretty much knew it all but he is keping quiet because this is an ongoing issue.

I don't believe that was a seizure. I think it was an overdose. She said in the weeks leading up to his death prince was trying to help himself and that she alerted freinds about his "problem". If it was a seizure wouldn't she have said it was? It was no secret prince had epilepsy as a child he told us himself. I think she knows more but had to omit certain Information for legal reasons. There are still lots of holes. I'm just thinking that even after a near death scenario such as this he still administered fentanyl..his addiction sounds like it had a very strong grip on him or the pain was unbearable. I've seen people who were dying from a smoking related illness...

Still smoking.

A very uncomfortable read. Im sure Judith, and anyone else around him that knew what he was going through feels a tremendous sense of regret and helplessness during Prince's decline and death.

Addiction sucks man. His body was breaking down with the painkillers, and absolutely couldnt handle being without. Nothing fishy, just unfortunate.

And just entirely too much of a fucked up coincidence-- for me --that she was working with Michael Jackson right before he died too. I'm not sorry about pointing that out because that is really a FUCKED UP coincidence. disbelief
