Nicely done, Tidal. Tomorrow is one day that I hope the commute is at least an hour longer than usual.

Wow that is cool - pity im not a subscriber to the service - but thankfully have all the albums. Something i dont think wouldve happened if P was still with us. Can someone confirm whether erotic city is available on Tidal? Just curious

The big question is : was it already schedulmed before Prince's death ? How the hell could they release 15 albums that were on so various record companies ? Prince had the masters of course, but did he gave the loseless tapes to Tidal before he died ?

Yep, excellent. Now they need to get them on other streaming sites so people can finally listen to it all RIP

Absolutely brilliant! I knew something was going up when D&P, Symbol had moved onto the prince page. Before you had to search under prince and NPg

"We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

Surely this has been in the pipe-line for a while. Can't see Tidal doing this off their own bat so you can't help wonder what else was being planned...

THIS! THIS literally is making my day! I'm going to have a beautiful day listening to 1800NewFunk for the first time and revisiting the fucking amazing gold experience!!! It's so funny because on our way from the Spike Lee event on Saturday I was talking with a musician about how some projects are still missing from Tidal and he was saying they'll probably come out sooner or later. So happy it was sooner than later! "Where you are now is in a place that does not require time." - Rest In Power, PRINCE

It's also made the BBC News: . http://www.bbc.co.uk/news...s-36467321
(Unfortunately, I don't like the 'Prince died of an overdoes of painkillers' line beneath his photo as most other outlets I've seen have stated 'accidental overdose', but... whatever.

Yah maybe the hardcore fans have all of those, but casual fans and newbies definitely don't. So this is truly amazing to be happening. Even with me, a huge fan from the early 2000s I either don't have some of these projects as physical albums our haven't heard some of them, so it's nice to have EVERYTHING in one convenient location and know that is an arrangement that Price himself was ok with. The albums have been added to TIDAL everywhere …not just the UK you should update the thread title to clear any confusion

True, I'm thinking anything that was not already in the pipeline before his death isn't going to happen anytime soon because his estate would have to sign off on it and the estate is limited in what it can do Ruth now.... My question is, is this how he originally planned to release it, because he didn't celebrate his bday. Either way I'm fucking happy. If they added 2010 Deluxe I would be a truly happy man. I'm hoping (founded on nothing other than my personal wishes) that this is why they haven't added it to Tidal.
Who knows what general plans and agreements Prince made with Tidal before he passed? He certainly seemed happy there.

Would you consider changing the title of your post to reflect that it's the US as well? . That will just save repeat posts. Here's the list from Billboard's article: The Black Album (1987) The Gold Experience (1995) Chaos & Disorder (1996) Crystal Ball (1998) 1999: The New Master (1999) Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (1999) Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic (2001) The Rainbow Children (2001) One Nite Alone... Live! (2002) One Nite Alone... The Aftershow: It Ain't Over (2002) Indigo Nights (2008) The New Power Generation Exodus (1995) New Power Soul (1998) Various 1-800-NEW-FUNK (1994) Girl 6 - Official (1996) *CANNOT* tell you how excited I was about this this morning. Due to moves and whatnot, I was missing 5 albums from Prince's catalog that I couldn't download or get on Tidal. This rounds it out!!! AND stuff I didn't even know about!! I am psyched here. "Everything that's in your heart, come what may
Even though his might get broken" RIP Prince

Completely agree. Most of us are hardcore fans so we could all be dicks and say "Got it, got it...." but it is great to have all this music in one place, including many of the hard to find, out of print stuff. It will also introduce all of his back catalogue to a new generation who are discovering him. Well done Tidal!

Thank you - just changed it to Tidal, before others from other countries ask too

"Free Urself" has been available on iTunes for a while. That's where I got it a few weeks ago.

Just an FYI - none of those albums appear in the Tidal Store for purchase, so they must be a streaming exclusive for a while.
