..... NOT! But how funny would that be? For all we know, it is as likely as a mysterious OD due to medication no one knew he was taking for a condition that is unclear, possibly related to some hip surgery (that maybe never actually happened) related to dancing in high heels. This latter explanation is quite obviously crystal clear and very well substantiated, because we all saw Prince crippled with pain all the time - no, wait, he was very good at disguising it, and too proud to let it show. Makes perfect sense. And of course despite being almost dead days earlier, he sends everyone home (his privacy may be compromised in an industrial complex with several buildings of course), as all megastars do every now and then. All of this after having refilled appropriately at a pharmacy. Riding his bike a bit, going shopping and attending a concert - all of this on fentanyl. The two Atlanta shows (not one, two) also on fentanyl patches. It's all very clear. Now, he left no will, but very precise instructions (to a family he wasn't very much in contact with and do not look especially reliable) to be cremated immediately, and some purple boxes to give away. He did leave some hints to Andre and a few others but they won't talk about it. And to top it all off, he decided to eat a few more pills or whatever the night before a specialist was to be there, and on the same day he wrote sometimes it snows in April, about the death of his alter ego. To sum up, ordinary stuff. I don't even know why people waste time on conspiracies. Absurd.

And, reading Judith Hill's interview (which some see as the final proof of everything, for some reason), it struck me the scene she describes: chilling out in the plane after the concert, nice dinner discussing this or that, all of a sudden boom, the guy has OD'ed and he breaks down! Then she says 'he was trying' - trying what? Because she apparently has no knowledge of any condition/medication. He was as agile as ever. So unless he had an amazing mind control to not show AT ALL the kind of pain that can lead you to OD... And if he had that kind of self-control, couldn't he just get through the night until the doctor came on the 21st? Don't get me wrong: I am not saying that any conspiracy is true - I am saying that with current knowledge, every theory (yes, even the Illuminati or a jealous ex-gf, whatever) is kinda equally plausible. That's how weak the official hypothesis is. Btw, how does the coroner know the 'self-administered' part?

I don't know how he pulled it off to be on such a powerful drug and not really show it. My older brother had liver cancer and was given Fentanyl before he passed away.I would come over and find him sitting in the driveway totally out of it. He told me that the Fentanyl patches were the shit when it came to killing the pain but he pretty much couldn't do anything while on it. I wish Prince just would have worked on getting better and not try to be so private about what was going on with him.

Yes, those of us that know Fentanyl well (and hip problems for that matter) can't marry what we know about these issues with the stories being told and what we saw of P. I don't buy the P is superhuman as he is in so much pain he needs Fentanyl to bounce around as if he is in his 20's but he has no side effects from Fentanyl except for sudden collapses in front of peoples eyes or in an elevator.
I wish they would stop. | |

His death IS fishy. There is no doubt about that.

whats fishy is how people r being mysterious about it ...preserve his image and all
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
why is it so far fetched that people wanted hands on his vault to sell ?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No, it's pretty simple. Remarkably simple. He overdosed on pain medication. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
If anything makes it "fishy" it's probably more to do with the privacy Prince insisted on, his innate need to control his surroundings and how little he let people into his world so the public and even his closest friends are left twisting in the winds to some degree.

I just got divorced and haven't changed my will so that my ex-wife won't get my house but my son will after it's placed in a trust. If I OD tomorrow on my pain medication, does that mean my death is fishy? Or just that I was busy and never got around to fixing my will? Pretty sure I'm not as busy in a week as Prince was in an average day.

Pretty sure I'm not as busy in a week as Prince was in an average day. If you OD tomorrow of drugs no one knows you're using for a condition no one knows you have, the police should rightly ask your ex-wife a few questions. Nothing personal, it's due diligence. Assuming you were busy, or assuming you've been murdered, or assuming you committed suicide is all malpractice. Given the grief that the shocking events have caused to thousands of people, the passing of a true genius, unique in the history of mankind, in my opinion deserves at least due diligence. Until we know more, we have all the right to call it fishy. That's what I think.

Well it's not and my ex wife would tell the investigators that I have been on pain medication for arthritis and a bulging disc in my lower back for about 5 years now. Anything that didn't make it into the public eye beyond that would be between her, my family and my cremated ashes. If people who knew me all my life or "my fans" demanded more information and it didn't meet their level of satisfaction, I suppose they could explore legal avenues.

I see your point, but OF COURSE many of us want to know! Exactly like we wanted to know how he made records, how was his life in Paisley Park and what he ate for breakfast. That's the whole point of many threads on here, countless TV shows and magazines! Now you may not care, fine. Others do, fine too. Why are you so offended by others simply saying "uhm, I don't know, this is strange". You are free to buy the official story (or lack thereof) but there's no denial that there's many holes and it is very human to think that more information would help some cope with the loss. We may eventually know more, or it may remain a mystery. Because after all we don't really know if he was in pain, what kind of pain, for which condition, if he was prescribed drugs, which drugs, if he was taking them, for how long, if he had an allergic reaction, etc etc etc. All we "know" is he said he had the flu, collapsed twice and fentanyl was in his body (presumably at a fatal dose). The rest is hearsay, dubious reports, vague testimonials. And Prince leading a normal life, apparently. So it's not like "oh, of course, the pain medication finally took its toll'. You may conclude that, but there is absolutely nothing solidly backing that up. Not even the pain bit. Others may conclude otherwise.

the only thing i think is fishy about prince's death (aside from the rapid autopsy/cremation itinerary) is how his doctor from north memorial, schulenberg sp? disappeared so quickly after prince's death. his sudden disappearance from the hospital implies volumes, in my opinion. to know that he met with prince the day before, and showed up at the scene at the elevator with' test results' makes me wonder exactly what transpired between them in the 24 hour period of time. that, i would really like to know

Using you own phliosophy the simplest answer is the correct one. That being said a massive conspiracy called the Manhattan Project ended World War 2. Just how the hell did they do that?

I'm not offended, I just think people are captivated by celebrity and the only difference between Prince dying at 57 and me dying at 49 in my hypothetical scenario, my friends dying at 49 or even my Dad dying at 67 is that Prince is rich and famous and way more talented than me, more people therefore care, hence more people expore avenues to explain it that aren't there. Prince's death is about as mysterious as my hypothetical one, which is to say "not at all mysterious"...

I'm conspriacy minded but I can accept the fact that he passed away from a overdose.
What I don't accept is the believe that he was a drug fiend and that's what many are spinning this sad episode into. People who have watched Prince for years noticed changes in his apperance that said that he was not in the best of health. We debated for years on his hips and it was discussed here back in 2008/2009. We know from documented accounts that he had the flu. I know 3 people who died of the flu in the months before Prince died. H1N1 is nothing to play with. He very well could have had the flu and his body hadn't recovered and performed in Atlanta and got back on the plane took pain meds and with his weakened condition he almost died then. The Narcan saveshot brought him back but wiped his system. There are some whispers that he was trying to get off the pills and he was doing this cold turkey and you need a doctors care to get off a physical addicting drug. He put a patch on and his body couldn't take it and he's gone. I still believe that there was other problems but that's not what took him away.
However there are some very "fishy" or strange things here that should be questioned and the lack of any paperwork regarding beneficaries or a will should be questioned when hundreds of millions of dollars is concerned.

I think it is likely it was accidental od but all the conspiracies u mention ... Why do u just ridicule them? There's always a possibility and I would not be so smug. The fbi found no evidence of satanic ritual abuse but my ex wife had a friend with parents that had those connections. Not believing in it does not discount what damage she was left with. Illuminati? Don't be 100% that they r not a force in the world. [Edited 6/28/16 16:38pm]

I could not have put it any better. About two weeks after Prince died, when everybody/everything was in an uproar as to what happened to him, I told a good friend of mine, "I believe Prince did that on purpose". He thought I was crazy ( actually I thought I was too but I couldn't shake that "feeling"). My theory was: Why would anybody want to be alone after a scare like what happened when the plane had to land in Moline. If that were me, and I just didn't want to stay over night, I would hire a private doctor right there on the spot to come back to Minneapolis with me to make sure it didn't happen again (overdosing). But he wasn't concerned. I had just gotten off the phone with that same friend on June 22 when I went online and saw Judith Hill's story from the NYPost. I immediatly called him back and said, "You gotta see this"! Near the end of her story she said Prince said he could hear the voices of those around him, and he said to himself, "Follow the voices, get back in your body". "It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, to get back in my body like that". I said to my friend, "Now do you believe me"? and we talked ect., ect. Prince was ready to go. Plain and simple. And yes, I too believe he'd been doing drugs/pills since the late seventies/early eighties. I was eleven when "For You" was released and have been following him since the beginning of his career.
