There must have been an underlying cause like cancer. Remember Blind Gossip reported he was expected to die this summer. I'm NOT happy about it but BG and TMZ were somewhat accurate.

It must have been a real easy starting point for them when they found a patch (or patches) on him. Ugh. Good point. Geez... This sucks. Surprise, surprise.

Yes, we have no right to be discussing his scars, his weight and height. This is extremely disrespectful. It's still Prince we are talking about, not an alien. It's too painful and it is wrong. I am gonna take a break from the org now. Prince I will always miss and love U.

His family would not have and probably won't say nothin. They haven't said nothin all this time when he was alive and even in the last month of his death. The only thing they're concerned with is that will. If I was him I wouldn't have wanted anybody to know either. When people know you got cancer, (if that was the case) they wanna put you in an early grave. [Edited 6/2/16 16:48pm] [Edited 6/2/16 16:49pm] Yeah and everyone feels sorry for you and cries and blah... Conversations don't come easy. I wouldn't tell anyone either. Surprise, surprise.

The media can put out as many documents as they would like but maybe im in denial and just dont want to accept this but I feel something just aint right in my spirit since day one nothing added up. if they claimed he could of been dead for 6hrs then what was performing CPR was going to do
EMT's are trained to do CPR unless it is obvious death, like a gunshot wound to the head. EMT's cannot pronounce anyone, we have to call into Medical Control and speak to a doctor and tell the doctor we've been doing CPR for however much time and no heartbeat or sinus rhythm is detected by an EKG and the AED has not shocked the patient. We never assume that someone is dead, we need real data/evidence to relay to a doctor who then makes the determination that someone is dead. We can find someone cold and with no pulse with dilated pupils and know for sure they are dead upon sight but still engage our training. People have been revived from that state too many times to assume they are gone. [Edited 6/2/16 13:25pm] [Edited 6/2/16 13:26pm] [/quote]From what I was told, I'm one of em. She said it is used for "conscious sedation" in hospitals. And a pain specialist would only prescribe that if the paitent was terminal...and even then, not likely. Some one is probably going to go to jail on this one. Probably why that MN Dr was fired... My ma gets rx's for it. It's not common, but it's common enough.

I'm going to respond to this solely to give an idea of what it is like to be DEPENDENT on a medication. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It affects most of my joints and surrounding tissue. I have taken Tramadol, which is a synthetic Opiate, for 15+ years to manage the pain. I never took more than what my Dr recommended but I am addicted to it. My body is dependent on this drug. When Prince left this earth, not knowing the full truth, I went to my Dr and began the weaning process to come off this medication. It's been almost 6 weeks and I'm only at the "half way" mark. I've decreased my mgs to half what I was on. I made the conscience decision to do this for ME. But his death gave me courage. Is it easy? Hell no! Have I wanted to give up? Almost everyday. But I put one foot in front of the other and push forward. I will beat this beast that is killing people every hour of everyday. I am not here to judge anyone who takes pain meds. I truly needed them and some days still do but by personal choice, have decided to use alternatives that can be used As needed. I will forever be grateful to that man for gracing us with his talent, and even in the afterlife, possibly saving lives.

Thank you for sharing your story and what you are going through. I pray for you on your journey towards healing and in dealing with the physical pain from rheumatoid arthritis. My grandmother had it as well as a long line of her family members. I can't imagine how hard it was for them on no pain relief at all except for aspirin and home remedies. Keep up the good fight. nursev said: just a sidebar that fentanyl patches are so strong that when you apply them u need gloves on...they're absorbed through the skin and go straight to the bloodstream n cause headaches...so imagine injecting it and making an error. never seen a fentanyl injection. I have. I have a intestinal disease and would often have to have colonoscopies of my colon and lower small intestines done. They use fentanyl injection along with verced to "twilight" you. Not awake but not quite asleep either. So u can still somewhat follow instructions and/or cooperate with the procedure. Between my opiate use and frequency of having that procedure, I simply stopped "twilighting" and it just turned into a miserable experience of having someone shove and endless tube up my ass. Not that the twilighting was much better. Essentially u kinda knew what was going on but just didn't have the wherewithal or ability to stop it. Now they simply use propofal and completely knock me out.

Well if it's true he didn't have a script for it... Check this article- warning the lead photo isn't pleasant. I don't know why they even need to use stock photos like that but... Anyway- I didn't know this was a new trend. http://thinkprogress.org/...explainer/ Can't believe they have marijuana in the same schedule as this stuff. Makes zero sense. Surprise, surprise.

that's how i feel, if i knew he was gonna die i woulda drove out there and got myself in trouble trying to help him, y'all would have been calling me a crazed fan too.
After all this, I was thinkiing, we've lost a lot of people, i've lost 3 heroes in the last ten years either over drugs or the violence that drugs attracts, in the future, with future superstars, fans should try and band together and figure out a way to form some sort of intervention. of course the assholes will say we aren't family blah blah but our lives are affected greatly by some of these people and we grow to love them and admire them and should have a way to help them when no one else has the balls to.

This is very sad... - It seems to me that Prince was in pain (as per Sheila E)...but also never really conquered his inner demons - something some of us are forever haunted by... - Just gutted...tragic... is an understatement - No point speculating...as a Coroner once said to me when my Brother committed suicide..."you will never get the answer you are looking for..." - Take care my purple brothers and sisters...I hope we all reconcile this autopsy without too much pain.... - Prince, wherever you are...thank you...and I hope that you are free... - Now off to listen to where he felt most at peace...in his music... - Will be a restless night tonight - It will be weird for a few days..

Minnesota Public Radio did a piece on this on Tuesday. By law, what was released to the public in the form of that document is all that wa allowable for release.
As to "ongoing investigation", the next questions are going to be whether or not Fentanyl was prescribed, if so, by whom and was it prescribed by more than one doctor? If only one doctor, was it over-prescribed? If not prescribed, where did he get it? "Everything that's in your heart, come what may
Even though his might get broken" RIP Prince

We will never find all of the answers we are looking for. I just thank Prince for the funky time and the great music. And I hope that he is at peace wherever he is. But there are two things that I want to clear up here... _ AIDS is a disease suffered by good and decent human beings the world over. There is no shame in living or dying with HIV or AIDS. People alleging he had AIDS may be sensationalistic, tabloidy and crass - but saying someone has AIDS to me is not a slander any more than saying someone has cancer or ALS or Alzheimer's. I just consider it to be another theory about his passing, but not a libel. - Addiction is also a disease that takes many forms and sweeps up many good and decent people. In the throes of addiction, many a good person has been lost. But addiction is not just about self control or moral superiority. It is a disease. And it should be seen and treated like one. A person trapped in percocet addiction or heroin addiction or alcohol addiction is still a person. Not a pariah. _ It drives me nuts when people suggest that having AIDS or being an addict makes you "less than." We have no proof Prince had HIV/AIDS or any addiction - but if he did, it doesn't make him any less of a genius of a human or a child of God than if he didn't.

Fentanyl - WAY stronger than percocet. Found this online for comparison between the two: http://www.iodine.com/com...s-percocet
That said, I have three friends who struggle with serious, chronic pain. They say that opiods are a Godsend that allow them to function. They stress to me that physical dependence is very different from addiction, and that opiod drugs are generally designed TO develop physical dependency. It's how they work. But because opiods generally attach to specific receptors and one of those receptors is a deep brain system that controls respiration, it has to be used with caution even when not abused.
So. I'm sad that he was in terrible pain. I've never heard if he went through with hip replacement surgery or if the surgery was not performed due to the Jehova's Witness' proscription against blood transfusions? Does anyone know? Because I took special note of the scar on his hip and wondered. "Everything that's in your heart, come what may
Even though his might get broken" RIP Prince

My twin sisters autopsy report included every description of physical and chemical analysis including weights and fluids of all organs . the Prince report looks more like a death certificate . I hope there would be a new vegan chain of eateries called purple rain ,with all the music and his fashionable tasty flair for to know the great leader he is ,all the profits could go 100 % to helping animals in need . Still looking at the music and films with Prince ,love ,your fan .
