I'm glad to see that there are other orgers into St. Vincent I thought I was the only one. P had such a diverse style with his music, style, fashion, looks, films..(yes, films)..His songs were played not only on the r&b stations but alternative rock and jazz stations too. And he made the magazine covers of all the different music and instrument publications. I've never seen any other artist do that. He was one of a kind.

His sheer volume of output over the years has left us with a lifetime of music so there really is no need to pass the baton.

May I respectfully add, in Prince's own words, "Shut up already, damn!"? Let's move on.

No one. And no one has to. He left us gold and we'll be enjoying those fruits of his hard work forever. Or at least as long as we're around. My dear Prince, so many songs of treasure he created. I would gladly exchange many of them if he had slept more and lived longer.

Pick up the pieces - there are so many. Example: Mononeon. Check him out - one of the last bass players to jam with Prince. He has a youtube channel - CHECK IT OUT. It's great. It makes you realize that Prince was insanely contemporary and cutting edge to his last breath. Keep that spirit strong by being amazing yourself.

John Grant does it for me... He's an amazing artist in his own right and I'm not a fan of comparing artists but he does make each album different in much the way Prince often would...
