If he is looking down from heaven, what would Prince say about...

...being the first in history to have 5 albums in the top 10 at one time

...the scrub claiming to be his sole heir

...the scramble over his fortune among his "siblings"

...the hideous Madonna tribute

...the overwhelming flood of love from fans and "peers"

...looking more relevant than Micheal Jackson did when he died

brother, i like to think that when we move on we really don't see this stuff as important anymore. almost like we don't look at what happened in kindergarten as very important but it did seem so at the time.

Dead like Elvis, check, check, 1 2, check
You know what he's sayin'?

Face down, face down

Somebody once told him that
He wouldn't take Prince through the ringer
Let him go down as a washed up singer

Ain't that a bitch? Thinkin' all along that he wanted to be rich
Never respected the root of all evil and he still don't to this day
Bury him face down, let the motherfuckers kiss ass, okay

Face down, face down

Told 'em he wanted to sing a song
About a black child goin' buck wild
And they just laughed in his face

Talk to your lawyer but you got no case
What you need to do is keep your place
Next time you pull a card, it better be a ace motherfucker
Or you can lay face down
(Face down)

1 2, face down, 1 2

Him and her meaning who I'm singin' about
And his psychoanalyst kinda saw the catalyst
As the devil with the blue jeans on

Ain't it kinda funny when you see the dawn?
Sign the name they gave ya but when them motherfuckers
Turn around ass up, you're what?

Face down, 1 2, face down
New power generation in the house, bury 'em all
Face down, yes, oh Lord, face down
Face down, face down

It's in his will, I read it, he shot to kill, he said it
For those who know the number and don't call
Fuck all y'all

Face down, face down, face down

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

i don't know about the relevancy but MJ's death was mammoth, bizzare and just huge. i saw white people moonwalking for blocks in seattle to commemorate MJ, people all the sudden felt bad about how they treated him and many people started to back track on the molestation allegations. Prince didn't even hit me as hard as MJ for a couple reasons, one, I felt so badly for how MJ was hunted and tormented and two, he was the first of my childhood heroes to go. I was always a bigger Prince fan but I never stopped loving MJ and it killed me what happened to him. Prince by comparison had a wonderful life.

I dont think people have to be harsh and compare him to MJ or so called relevancy. Both men were and still are titans of music. They are immortal, African American perfomers who deserve respect. I'm not a MJ fan but I get offended when ppl disrepect him. He did alot for the black community. More than most people will ever know. MJ donated millions to UNCF (United Negro College Fund) amonst other things. P and MJ did many things anonomyously. Let's do better on this forum and not engage in negativity. So, when you're judging someone make sure you know exactly who you're judging.

True. I believe that once our earthly life is over, it will no longer matter.

the last 15-17 years of MJ's life was horrible, i still feel so damn bad about that. I don't know if he molested anyone but I just don't think he did. and i maintain that if it weren't that, it would have been something else that they would have used to hound him.

Great way to put it! Prince believed in life past this Earth...the Afterworld or the here after, and do I. I believe in Heaven. I believe it's so MAJESTIC there that even the great things he accomplished and the money he made would be considered rubbish. He's not bothered by anything going on over here on Earth.

LOL! Not me-- because for the most part-- I already have them and actually paid cash money directly to Prince numerous times over and over and over and over-- again for them. shrug

I doubt anything on Earth would be a great relevance at that point...but then I didnt say it would be in my question.

I can't speak for MJ, but Prince absolutely hated labels.

He was one of the greatest performers of all-time, period.

Him and MJ are both shaking their heads and laughing at the outpouring of love and the opportunistic vultures who are now supposedly "friends" with him. Prince also has a false look of "dissapproval" on his face upon seeing his music all over the internet again. "All part of the plan". lmao
