DICK GREGORY ON PRINCE

Has anyone seen the recent Dick Gregory video?

Prince believed in Dick Gregory, he talked about him to Tavis Smiley, mentioning when Dick was on a show in 2008 (state of black union, is it?) & he encouraged other people to watch it. I watched a recent video withh Dick in it last night, and I'm not able to say to myself he's 100% correct because, well I don't think I could ever say that without proof. But there's something about the way Dick says what he says. I feel a bit concerned to even say it, but I believe him. 😟

Dick Gregory uses conspiracy theories as theatre for further discussion of the broader issues. P loved Dick Gregory, hence Chemtrails.

So many ways that this is wrong. Dick uses any form of something to further his other beliefs. Prince dieing is another tool he can use, he also quotes magazines like the Enquirer to make these accusations, talking about how "they" say he had AIDS. I have not heard one person in real media talk about AIDS and PRINCE this is all internet talk and rag magazine talk which is pretty much where Dick latches on too. There is talk of the Illumanti killing Prince, along with Bowie and Robin Williams and all that nonsense takes the eyes of things that actually kill people. Someone posted that Video on my new feed on FB and I made sure that shit got removed. I am in a time of reflecting on Prince's life along with alot of his fans and friends, I don't need Dick Gregory and his rants about people he didnt know or care about to further his agenda.

Also if Dick is such a visionary why is not out there warning people, instead of responding after the fact.

I like Dick but I find him to be too all over the map at times. He'll start down one road, run over in a ditch, get up, go backwards, forwards, sideways, up and down all at once and never really arrive at anything conclusively.

He had become more and more hard to follow the older he gets. I've always had plenty respect for what he has to say because at the end of the day the stuff he's talking has some truth to it. But just because he says it I am not gonna believe it.
I used to take what he said as the gospel truth, like when he started up in the 80s about AIDS and the polio vaccine.

Anyone can be all over the map. And there is no human alive that speaks the truth 100% of the time. We observe things in people that somehow resonate. That is what Dick does, it is what Prince did with Dick & it's what I did with Prince when he talked about Dick on the Tavis show. We have 'discernment' & our inner senses to use when we hear another talk.

I dunno. I'm thinking about this video overall, and I can say I watched that & came away with *something* I can't really explain.

babynoz--- I agree with you completely. I've always thought Dick Gregory was onto something, and right about a lot that he said, but this recent clip of him talking about Prince, is absolute craziness--- Seems like he has lost his marbles. I don't think even Prince would be behind him on this one. And the way he was so aggressive with the interviewer? I think he needs to stop talking now before he loses all credibility.

He thinks Prince was murdered when his plane landed in Moline. The plane was (allegeldy) owned by Warren Buffet*. Apparently that means something. rolleyes

prince

He also said that Warner Bros (or whoever) was angry at him, and planned to kill him since he walked around with 'slave' on his face. And that they won't kill you right away, but they will eventually get you. So in 2016, he thinks Warner Bros caught up to Prince, and killed him over something from 20+ years prior.

prince

Ignorantly, he also questioned why Prince was riding a bike around Paislely Park, and no one was gathering around him. He's a local dude, so why would folks just flock to him 24/7? He'd get back inside before anyone could break down a gate or something trying to get to him. But that was suspect to ol' Dick as well.

prince

He really has kind of lost his marbles at this point. Just because you say something outrageous doesn't mean it's probably true because "no one else is saying this!". Yes, no one else is because it's ridiculously untrue. I've never really seen him offer up evidence on some things he's said. Did "they" purposely break the dykes in New Orleans so the city flooded? He thinks "they" did. Did "they" kill Prince for writing slave on his face? He thinks "they" did.

Seinfield voice: Who are these people?

Lastly, Dick has the power to change color. He noted that the Queen, on her 90th birthday, was in a "pink dress... purple". Yes, and? I mean - stop already.

The song 'Dreamer' was a tribute to what Dick Gregory spoke about at the State of the Black Union of 2004. I believe Dick Gregory was an inspiration for that song.

Prince mentioned in the Tavis Smiley interview, that he may owe Dick Gregory for some credit for the inspiration behind that song, because a portion of Prince's lyrics in 'Dreamer', reflected what Dick Gregory said at that SOBU in 2004. The part in the song about "..holding the steering wheel so tight"bt.

Tavis, had mentioned a while back, at the beginning of one of the SOBU conferences, the year Prince performed a show after the event for the attendees, that for years Prince has always had an interest in the SOBU conferences, and he said Prince would call him after the conferences, and they would be on the phone for hours discussing the issues spoken at the conference that day.

I watched a few minutes of him and he comes off as someone WAY over the edge, there are people who have opinions and are at least coming from a sane place, DICK has lost his mind, between just wrong statements here like "they killed him on the plane" to the warner brothers statement? no sense at all and trust me there are ALOT of people that buy into this nonsense, usually it is the Illumanti believers that hook right on to it, which is usually based in religion etc...just bad timing for him to do this and someone to actually go interview this nut ball.

There's all kinds of rumors/stories floating around about why and how Prince passed, and I doubt it stops anytime soon. You can either choose to fall for some of those rumors or just ignore it.

So Prince was hooked on that Dick Gregory (not surprised).

Doesn't mean that Dick Gregory doesn't have ..issues.

Dick said that he himself doesn't hang with celebs, he wasn't talking about Prince.

I'm concerned that the thread seems disrespectful. I watched it & was pretty impacted on by it as I said in my OP.

I don't know how I feel about Dick, but I do think Prince's mind was more "free" than most of the enslaved masses, which is why he was able to channel all of that amazing music in the first place. Everything he ever did was in the name of universal and unconditional power of love. Maybe I do think "they" killed him. TMZ, our "most informed" news outlet is owned by Time Warner. I am TERRIFED of the power they have. There is just a lot here, and none of it is new information, just the same story of genius, free minds leaving us, and us not knowing why.

How'm I gonna fill this empty room...
