P!nk's Unfortunate Encounter With Prince!

Are nineteen year olds really this disrespectful?

Is all forgiven?

LOL YES! That was 17 years ago, they're even worse now.

She didn't know how important that question was and totally came around to seeing it in hindsight. She's cool.
Surprise, surprise.
Another treat. Another trick.

What did he ask her? I couldn't hear what she said.

If she owned her masters.

I think Prince asked her if she " owned her own masters."

He said it with good intentions, it probably sounded condescending, but it preoccupied him in a big way. But then she's calling LA Reid out on her second album.

Prince wasn't thinking of master tapes when he signed onto Warners, most artists were told "don't sell your publishing" but masters never came up, plus the whole thing with storing them, maintaining them, transferring them - it's only after CDs became a standard where remastering source tapes and deluxe editions where people even cared about those recordings.

The music industry was powerful, you either did what you were told or they'd find someone else.

If Mick Jagger said the same thing to him in 1980-1981, he might have reacted the same way she did.

Didn't she rather recently comment that she feels like she's the only one in the music business that hasn't gotten into Prince's music? It was some sort of a group interview or a discussion between different artist. Now she's calling him "a genius", right.

That was pobably before she "broke up" with Linda Perry.

I like P!nk.

If she didn't get into his music yet understands he's a genius .. I 'm fine with that.
