As far as the Prince tribute goes; I think you just got to get the right people. To be honest, the best tribute could be Lenny Kravitz doing "Let's Go Crazy" with The Revolution backing him. And then somebody like Usher singing "The Beautiful Ones". Probably could have the New Power Generation do "Diamond & Pearls" and The Time could do something pre-1999 or even Little Red Corvetter with Dez Dickerson doing the solo. And then maybe have somebody sing "Adore" like Alicia or again Usher, somebody that could hit those notes and sound as close to him as possible on that song. And just do it throughout the show.

lol True. I was laughing when the song started playing because the song is very simple but Stevie always have to add a little extra. I felt like they let him sing this becuase its simple and hard to totally mess up

Word is that Spike Lee is interested in making a Prince documentary. I recall something being said about it having to be in several parts because a two-hour documentary just wouldn't do him justice.

After his "4 Little Girls" and "When The Levees Break" docs -- he can do any documentary and I'll watch it. But he better get a good editor to make sure he doesn't make mistakes like everyone else has when reporting on him.

Just like he did with his cover Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work."

While sitting here watching this does anyone else feel like this isn't a proper tribute? I mean Badu, was the best, Stevie poor guy is in pain, but he tried, and everyone else has put in a valiant effort, but to make us watch the whole show so they can get the ratings? Anyone else feel this?

I missed the Maxwell performance.. hopefully it appears online soon.

Jamie Foxx should be there. He's a comedian who has more musical talent than most of the people at the show. He does Adore again at the 1:54 mark.
