i'd like to think that but I remember how we all (myself included) roasted him on a thread that said 'post your worst Prince pics' we had a field day, i felt bad afterwards because I never thought he'd see any of it. after that, and Michaels death, I learned to cherish him to the point where i wouldn't say anything critical because he did so much good. but i dunno, he did seem to be sensitive to concert reviews and album reviews too, so I don't know if it was 'water off a ducks back'. I've said it many times, fame is a beast, most of us go through things where a few people might turn on us, imagine having thousands issuing such ill will? It isn't for everyone.

he took an awful beating here at times, from people who publicly enjoyed not being sycophants. over the years i've been shocked by some of the negative threads, and to be honest, why they were permitted to remain.

oh yea, just to remind everyone, people have short memories. It was after the unflattering pic thread that prince tried to shut down the org and made the song Phunk directed at us. he obviously saw at least that thread and us talking shit because he tried to ban any likenesses of him. at the time we were livid but looking back, it's easy to see he was just hurt, not trying to be controlling but his feelings were hurt.

"To all the haters on the internet, somebody's looking at you, no more candy for you"
Maybe he knew which is why he always put out something contraire to what people complained about.
One thing I always disliked about this website is how negative everyone was of anything that came after 1989 and that wasnt pure pop. Good thing I was never too big a pop fan and always praised his other works in most my posts made. So if he read something, at least someone was letting him know his other works were perfectly fine or even better for some. I stopped browsing mostly because 75 percent of what was posted every single time he came out with a new album was negative, for the past 6 years.

nope. sorry, but i reject your rejection. it's for your own good, you can thank me later. think of it like this: in a universe of fantastic quantum infinities and spooky electric entanglement at a distance, why couldn't prince be alive and well? maybe his body double died at paisley park instead of prince, who is now in his caribbean hideaway planning an entirely jnew phase of his career? i always wondered whether prince himself might have started those "What Would Prince Do if he Wasn't a Musician" threads..... or maybe in a parallel universe alter-prince is dancing and playing for the city of Kroy Wen. don't wake me i'm dreaming

Yeah, he was an AMP'er too. A friend shared one of his posts on FB and that's when I noticed the behind his name so I thought it must have been someone else, but I kept seeing more and more these Prince related posts. Took way too long, but eventually I realized he must be the same guy from AMP. Didn't know he had become a well known blogger/tech guy or whatever.

It's been upsetting to see there were a number of commenters on this site who appeared totally unwilling to make any allowance for the fact that Prince was human. He had feelings and insecurities like we all do. I certainly have no similar experience in my life where an online group of people laughed at my expense while tearing down my self image. I was treated like that by two people in my family for several years, which left me in a suicidal mind set. He had every right to want to shut the sites down. . I'd expect he might have even been more sensitive than the average person, just on him being so artistic and tuned into emotion. I do hope he developed a tough skin. If he didn't have one before online fan forums existed, my guess is he did after. . Ironic that he was showing up daily to this site for years, amidst frequent comments that he was out of touch, stand-offish and hated his fanbase, suing them, etc. And he was right here, interacting with us daily, like it was his day job LOL. Like we were his family.... I know the negativity would have been scaled back had fans here been aware that he was coming to the site, but it hurts to know he had to wade through some fairly abusive comments to get to the love and moral support that also existed here. . He meant the world to me. I'm actually so grateful for the fans here who were supportive and kind, and kept the faith--they know who they are . It means a lot to me knowing he found some genuine love here. (And the mods have been really super. Fair but very respectful.)

Was that song really about the org? It could have been aimed at critics in general? I don't know, obviously he dealt with things the only way he knew how..through music. You know some of those people cried like babies when he died. Baby, you're a star.

Wait, aren't we overreacting here? The LotusFlow3r person who made this comment worked with Prince for like 2 months... OK, so we know he monitored the Org in connection with the roll out of this own temporary site. But it's a huge leap to now say he's been spending the last 20 years going to the Org on a regular basis.
Keep in mind that the source of all of this is a person who also thought up until this month that Starfish & Coffee was a song wrote for Muppets Tonight in 1997.

What was that Indifference song about anyway? I've been Googling for all of three minutes and all I've found was Baalfagor. Yes he was singing about Baalfagor the sloth demon. Absolutely nothing to do with hungover-as-a-bastard concert reviews no, defo not that. I'd be well creeped out. I see now that it was live streamed on Art Official Age release day so it must've just been about Warner Brothers again. *PHEW!* we're in the clear. I just gave up and ripped the piss out of the concept of internet forums in the end. What more could you add? i wish i'd never kissed your lips, bearded lady

is that the concept of time or the band The Time or the Jam and Lewis Time where viewers at home go "crickey, is that The Time!?". A mysterious sarcophagus is carted onto the stage. "Oh no! Don't do it!" Suddenly - Madonna has frozen all time. The sarcophagus is opened - from inside, a hellish Mirwais, more machine now than man, emits a cloud of hand-picked Antarctic neutrinos. "This is my gift to the World..." i wish i'd never kissed your lips, bearded lady

Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defenses Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor
Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your face away from cold, unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night Close you eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams
Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar And you'll live as you've never lived before Softly, deftly, music shall caress you
Hear it, feel it, secretly possess you Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind In this darkness which you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night I felt this song was relevant enough.
