Keep in mind that the source of all of this is a person who also thought up until this month that Starfish & Coffee was a song wrote for Muppets Tonight in 1997.

HAH.

Yes - and I really wish I was kidding about this. Is it any wonder that the LotusFlow3r website promised 10 albums of unrelased material and gave us taped copies of TV specials?

Prince could have put the SOTT album on the website and the designer would have thought it's an unreleased album. No wonder he didn't know that we'd heard The Undertaker and The Beautiful Experience already.

lol

What an interesting thread this has been!! For one thing, a few people I haven't seen in ages showed up to post on it. Then, all those copy/pasted old threads brought up more (user)names from the past.

I can imagine P looking in here, after all it is called Prince.org! But I'm skeptical he ever actually posted. I really doubt he orgnoted anyone. JMHO! Only Ben knows for sure! wink

If P was looking...wonder if he ever read any of Zelaira's threads? lol Or, on the other hand, Bart's incredibly critical threads of recent years? confused

Was he posting? If so, what was the username? He could lurk without ever registering.

It was definitely directed at the org, he may have meant other people too but I recall like yesterday, ben was quoted as saying something to the effect of "maybe if we upset him more we'd get more great music like this (phunk)"

oh yea, just to remind everyone, people have short memories. It was after the unflattering pic thread that prince tried to shut down the org and made the song Phunk directed at us. he obviously saw at least that thread and us talking shit because he tried to ban any likenesses of him. at the time we were livid but looking back, it's easy to see he was just hurt, not trying to be controlling but his feelings were hurt.

Was that song really about the org? It could have been aimed at critics in general? I don't know, obviously he dealt with things the only way he knew how..through music. You know some of those people cried like babies when he died.

What do you mean he wasn't "that" rich? He's definitely "that smart" - enough to pull it off with how secretive he's always been. Plus, why wouldn't he fake his own death if he believed it served a better cause, he wanted to retire in peace, or he could no longer perform as he wished? Why do you want him to be gone?

I am NOT going down that rabbit hole. Enjoy it all you want.

sad sad nope. sorry, but i reject your rejection. hug it's for your own good, you can thank me later. think of it like this: in a universe of fantastic quantum infinities and spooky electric entanglement at a distance, why couldn't prince be alive and well? maybe his body double died at paisley park instead of prince, who is now in his caribbean hideaway planning an entirely jnew phase of his career? i always wondered whether prince himself might have started those "What Would Prince Do if he Wasn't a Musician" threads..... or maybe in a parallel universe alter-prince is dancing and playing for the city of Kroy Wen. don't wake me i'm dreaming

Do you think his wife Bria is with him on this Caribbean hideaway?

I'd been wondering about imago too - not that he's Prince (someone wrote imago is proudly gay, I misread as "profoundly" gay - ha ha). But because 1) I'm sure wherever imago is, he must be grieving and I hope he's ok, and 2) we know Prince checked out the org and laughed out loud, and I'm wondering /hoping he got a laugh out of the MNIP and the Paula Deen buttery cooch threads - I know those were my favorite comic pieces! Imago's emancipation review was good too.
I wonder if he saw the sand dollar thread too - that was a funny one.

Have you never upset your partner? Did Prince never upset you? I would say it's OK. Just because you are here on the org means you must have loved the man. Why else would you 'waste' your time here?

Just wanted to post my theory...

My guess is that he definetly posted on here. I base this on the fact that he was known to have visited the org and had described it with the words: 'it's funny sometimes'

...he was known to be attracted to people who would say NO to him - straight up types (read about his friendship with the boyyfriend of his personal photographer, how he was in hysterics because this guy would tell him straight what he thought).

So my inference is that he enjoyed being told straight what people actually thought of him including his opinions as a poster when they had no clue who they were communicating with.

Just my hunch.

That is an all time classic--the sand dollar story. lol It brings back fond memories of Tame, her obsession with Prince, and her stories...as well as other orgers who are no longer here. This place was so full of memorable characters... What a ride...

Yeah, but I wonder. He got pissy with Lisa when she said he was like a "fancy lesbian". She got a "STFU" letter from him via lawyers.

My son was born in April 2001 so there were lots of late night feedings and I used to be an Org fend.

Summer of 2001 he would pop up late at night 2:00-4:00am and he was saying the usual crypic shit which made me call Bullshit. Anyway one night he said here is the track list for the new album and it was every track on the Rainbow Children album.

Needless to say when I joined Facebook I discovered he joined as well under about five different profiles other than Prince and he would lurk on Facebook. He dropped a PM to me in 2014 that he was going back to WB and the album was going to be called Art Official Age and I asked what about PectrumElectrum and he said I dunno maybe they will let both be released.
