I have the Time Magazine issue right next to me. Looking at it now. Yeah, I have everything on this list and a bunch of stuff that isn't.

They didn't include Rave In2 and a few others.

So I guess I can score in at 44/39 as well like IstenSzek said lol

Their list is a bit odd.

It doesn't really make sense to include albums that weren't available on CD, like Slaughterhouse and Chocolate Invasion but then not include stuff that was available on CD like Goldnigga, Exodus, etc. 1800NEWFUNK wasn't included, either.

Those weren't released as Prince albums. New Power Soul was also officially an NPG album, but it had Prince on lead vocals, so I can see how people would regard that as a Prince album.

Have things like CNote, Gold Nigga, Slaughterhouse and so on as digital bootlegs but everything else I think I have. Don't have Crystal Ball or One Night Alone (solo voice and piano) as I've always been wary of buying a dodgy eBay copy. Possibly even more likely now.

Have a few duplicates like most fans though. Original and reissued vinyl (and more coming it would seem) and those fancy japanese cd's from a few years ago. And cassettes and so on.

I like merch smile

All of them on CD (and the 1980-1988 era also on vinyl).

Also some of them CDs double or more: if I remember them all the 2 CD versions of "Lovesexy" (not tracked and tracked), 2 "Batman" CDs (normal and "tin"), 2 Symbol CDs (uncensored and censored), 2 Crystal Ball Box Sets (1-800-New-Funk 5CD and normal case retail 4CD) and 2 "The Chocolate Invasion" CDs (first edition and second edition).

The only P CD missing from my collection, believe it or not, is "The Very Best Of Prince". lol
I never had any reason to buy it. Anyway I will do it, sooner or later.

Most of them and then some in various formats.

I am an old school fan so I treasure my vinyl the most that I bought in a real wreckastow usually the first week of release.

I would consider it to be a Prince album too. Prince wrote all the songs, sang on all the songs and probably plays most instruments on all the songs. It would be like saying that Black Messiah is not a D'Angelo album and crediting it to The Vanguard.

Since Prince's passing, some magazines, websites and even radio/TV people are talking about Prince's "39 albums." Since technically, P was also involved in numerous side projects as such - I was just curious - out of the 39 - how many of them do you guys have? No shame if you don't own all of them. (I don't.) Just would love to know how many, and if you since Prince's passing - you intend to give a second chance or discover some that you didn't.

All of them, however the older albums still on Vinyl (SOTT, Lovesexy and Batman on both vinyl and cd). I have some catching up to do to buy the older albums on cd as well.

I dont understand how there could be any answer other than all of them. I suppose there are varying levels of fandom but a true hardcore fan has everything Prince has released.

I have almost all either via download or actual cds. I do not have Rave in2 though. Missed that one.

I wonder how many of his albums will be re-released via legitimate sources because on Ebay and Amazon they want crazy prices for the lesser known ones.

Because of their half-baked mistakes, we get ice cream, no cake; all lies, no truth; is it fair to Kill the YOUTH ~~ Party Up

Did any of the NPG Music Club albums outside if One More Alone live get a wreckastow release?.

All these were available in record stores:

.

- "Crystal Ball / The Truth"

- "New Power Soul"

- "Rainbow Children"

- "N.E.W.S"

- "3121"

.

.

And then The NPG Club closed, no?

I have all of them in soft copy. I gave away all my cd's in 2003. Wish I could buy Xpectation, as I still have the NPGMC version with the skip on Xotica. Also, I wish there was a way to play all these DRM files I purchased from NPGMC.

My CDs collection:

33 Studio Albums

+

2 Greatest Hits (Ultimate + Hits/B-Sides)

+

5 DVDs (Purple Rain, Graffiti Bridge, Under The Cherry Moon, Sign O The Times, Rave).

Pretty much the most essential ones. I started collecting 2 years ago.

I am missing a few albums like NEWS, Newpower Soul and ONA.

Black Messiah is credited to D'Angelo and The Vanguard on the album cover. Newpower Soul is only credited to The New Power Generation on the cover. So they are not the same.

I consider the NPG and Madhouse albums--where Prince writes and performs almost everything, but his name is not in the artist credit--to be Prince projects as opposed to official albums. smile
