I've owned them all over the years, but ended up selling ONA piano and vocal, Crystal Ball, ONA boxset and Rave In2 on eBay (they go for crazy money).

Kinda regret having sold them, but I needed the money more at the time and I still own the files on my laptop and made hard copies. I'm sure when I have some spare money I'll end up buying them back again for completist reasons.

I also only own HNR phase one and two on iTunes. Didn't want to buy them twice, although it bugs me that I don't own a physical copy.

All of them. Though I only bought HitnRun Phase One last Friday. I didn't want to regret not having a physical copy of it even though I don't really like it but I'm one of those people who has to have everything. You know, a nutcase wink

This made me laugh out loud!

Sometimes I think I might have sleepless nights over the fact that my collection is now incomplete after selling some of the rarer/harder
-to-find albums.

Sad isn't it?

If we're talking about officially released albums, then the NPG Club download only releases don't count. In that case, I have 'em all, except Rave (like Matty I sold of 'em and yeah, sorta regret that now) and the two HitnRuns. I'll get those too eventually, but there's no hurry. With all the shit surrounding his heritage right now,I Idon't see any "From the Vault" releases coming any time soon.

No, I don't think it's sad. A little unusual maybe, but I'm in the same boat so maybe not that unusual.

I don't have One Nite Alone, or One Nite Alone Live, or N.E.W.S. nor the Kamasutra CD from Crystal Ball.

.

I hope stuff like Xpectation, The Slaughter House, Chocolate Invasion, and C-Note come out on CD in good quality. That would be a nice addition.

Xpectation is available for purchas in MP3 or lossless FLAC from Tidal:

.

The Slaughterhouse, Chocolate Invasion, CNOTE are all there as well, if you are looking for good quality copies from an authorized source. If you're hoping for physical CD releases for those, that's another story, of course...

The only ones I'm missing are ONA Piano and Goldnigga - are those considered part of the 39?

That one too.

.

Time magazine had the big 39 in there, but they had stuff like Xpectation, and divided LotusFlow3r into two albums, and put NewPowerSoul in there, but not the other two NPG albums.

Apparently not, it seems the '39' refers to 'studio albums' as opposed to live or compilation albums.

So presumably you have the lot.

PS also seems not to include Goldnigga-type limited releases....

I have the Time Magazine issue right next to me. Looking at it now. Yeah, I have everything on this list and a bunch of stuff that isn't.

They didn't include Rave In2 and a few others.

So I guess I can score in at 44/39 as well like IstenSzek said lol

Their list is a bit odd.

It doesn't really make sense to include albums that weren't available on CD, like Slaughterhouse and Chocolate Invasion but then not include stuff that was available on CD like Goldnigga, Exodus, etc. 1800NEWFUNK wasn't included, either.

You should feel horrible. You are just one more nail in the coffin of music artists making money from their art. disbelief

I'm missing the New Power Generation releases (Exodus, Gold Nigga), but that's about it. ONA live, ONA piano, Xpectation, two versions of Rave -- yup, I almost got it all. Then some because of all the boots.

No, they're smart. You don't need the physical - I guarantee you most everyone here just rips their CDs and plays the files on their devices anyway.
I have most, many on multiple copies on multiple formats but they just weigh you down. You don't need them.

I am new to buying Prince music, spurred by his passing. I only have 15 albums - from 1978 to 1994. The 1994 album is 'Come.' I have never heard The Black Album.

Did any of the NPG Music Club albums outside if One More Alone live get a wreckastow release?. I know I have got N.E.W.S. but can't recall seeing Xpectation and the others so I think they were digital only. I know One More Alone piano got a CD release and I'd have got that if it was available. I have the majority of the albums just missing a few of the newer ones on CD which I have digitally and Goldnigga (I think I recall seeing it on cassette at one point so I should have got it) and 1800NewFunk. I could have got this too on CD a while back but it was preowned and next time I looked for it it was gone. But I'm sure it might turn up again. I also have all The Time albums, my Pandemonium CD is from Japan. I think they reissued the Time albums a few years back so I could waited. Also wanted to get Pandemonium with the clock on the front but that was a little bit expensive so I went with the Japanese pressing instead. If I can find them for a reasonable price I will also add Sheila's first few albums, Georges Paisley Park album, Chaka too (another I missed out on), Larry and GCS, Vanity 6, The Family, Apollonia 6 and other associated artists. Also have some of Morris albums too.
