I say changed but not over.

It does not feel right I agree. A person, a thing - a massive immutable part of our lives that has been there and seen us through is gone, and it feels so sad and empty. He was there for me through those hard years and the good one and all my life since I was 12-13 and likewise for many others here. Whilst there will NEVER be another like him for us I praise and rejoice that we had him for as long as we did - and he touched us all in such a positive way. Love you all Purple Family, feeling it a bit today...poor wee mite. Comin str8 outta Preston...

. That's an excellent point. As effed up as Elvis's entourage was, at least he had the mother of his child Priscilla to keep things right after his death. Prince? Man, what a mess is crawling out of the woodwork since his death. . This ensured a lasting legacy. Unfortunately, Prince didn't have this: . One thing I re-learned through the past few weeks is that many Prince fans are definitely on the dramatic, fatalist side.
Four things to remember: - Prince already "died" before with the name change, then the death of his more overtly sexual persona. In a way, I've had to "mourn" Prince before at least twice. So did many of you. - It's conceivable that Prince will release more music posthumously than when he was alive. So, from that standpoint, there is still much to come. - You'll probably end up seeing Prince like you have never seen him before through whatever videos he left. - Short of an hologram, you'll never actually see him live again, but if indeed recorded every show, and at least some of it is released, you'll end up hearing him play live quite often.
He is no longer among the living, but more than probably any star, he's positioned to live on through the music and media he created.

Well, if taken care of, we still have the vault. The only thing is that without a will or instructions that we know of, how do we know what he wanted to be released, and what if producers decide to have their own arrangement to the songs. Personally, I don't want any producers changing anything to the songs, if certain songs were left unfinished, then leave them that way. Love is God,

I always thought Prince was going to live a long long time, I think most fans thought the same too...This entire situation is still weird to me, everything in the community is now really different. The music will always be here, that's what we all have to keep holding on to...I still want to keep discussing his music/movies/videos/different Eras, these things will always be special to us.

Most of it really hasn't even changed, because seeing Prince in concert or in the news doing something wasn't even a big part of it...at least not over the past several years. But yes it feels a lot different now. Hopefully more of the pain of losing him will go away and can listen to the music without that as a constant undercurrent to it.

O my u must b young too... lol..The Belushi brother who died? Yes. John Belushi, who died of an overdose in 1982. An original member/comedian on Saturday Nite Live. He said that line in a classic movie, Animal House. And ftr,the other brother, Jim, probaby wouldnt have had a career at all if it wasnt for John. Just sayin... Nurse It takes time to heal, It's only been 3/4? Weeks His music will live on forever and bring in more and new people As for this site, I'm sure it will slow down now that there's no new music, concerts etc kinds sad to think about But eventually.. we may possibly have unreleased material for years to come And I betcha I will be in line to buy them, and probably post here how much I love em And just as someone else just said.. I'm a huge Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley fan And they been gone for a while now and I still love to jam their stuff Prince will be up there as a legend! Jimis estate still puts out music, and I get excited when they do *whispers* jimi has a tons and tons of excellent bootlegs too Who knows what will happen I will take my place, In the great below
