I'm experiencing the same things, it's been a week now. I'm really tired. "You can skate around the issue if you like,

Prince’s last words on stage: ‘Wait a few days before you waste your prayers on me’not sure why the image of prince is not an actual photo of how he looked at this performance. however u will see him performing as in added photos. Hi all, long time lurker here but this is my first post after just signing up. I've been a fan for a relatively short time compared to the rest of you, since a copy of 20Ten fell out of my newspaper, but as soon as I heard the opening Linn drum hits on Compassion, I was hooked! Prince and his music have been a part of every single day of the past six years of my life since then, and it's so hard to imagine he's no longer with us. I never thought I'd feel this way about the passing of a famous person that I didn't know personally, but after they become such a big part of your life, musically at least, it hits hard, and I've cried for him every night since.
Over the past week it's been beautiful to see the all outpouring of love and respect for Prince, and it's so good to have this site for everyone to share that with. I haven't even listened to anything but Prince since the 21st, and it's felt so good to just enjoy the music and celebrate the man.
I've found the song Comeback to be particularly comforting (and the thought of Prince and his son together again is a beautiful image) - and the lyrics are true. Prince will never really be gone - every time we listen to his music or watch one of his concerts, he'll come back.
Much love to everyone here! If you ever lose someone dear 2 U, never say the words "they're gone". They'll come back.

Sheila E. confirmed that Paisley Park to be turned into museum:

Before releasing Purple Rain, Prince contacted the band Journey to make sure they wouldn't sue, because the chord changes sounded very similar to their song Faithfully:

Ah...man. Still so sad. Only just finally gone through all the papers and the touching tributes made here on the Org. It's lovely to see 'ex-Orgers' return and hope that you stick around as well as the lurkers who have surfaced - your words have been spot-on. Don't know what to add that hasn't already been said with such eloquence, but I do want to thank all here at the Org for the time you give up so we can get our purple fix. Truly. It's nice that there's no bickering here and people are showing respect. I'm glad I'm not alone in that like all of you, I'm surprised and not surprised at how I'm feeling - shock, numb, empty and sad. I'm currently on holiday in a quiet Dorset town on the south coast of England, with barely an internet connection and been using this week to cherry-pick from his vast catalogue (can't believe it's now finite!) - listening and dancing in the sunset on cliffs and by the sea to purple skies. Been such a perfect setting to celebrate the man - the carpets of bluebells not been lost on me. The french fizz of "Mountains" 12", the sea-saw soliacolia of "Paisley Park" 12", the twist and turns of Prince's imagination in "I wish u Heaven" 12" - ethereal, gospel, synth/horn stab scat-funk with the Blue Angel on top, the perfect melancholy of "Venus de Milo" floating through the strings of Clare Fischer....the poignancy of "Way back home" flanked by its' affirmations. Ahhhh. I could go on...and on, as well as you all could here too. Me? Been a massive fan since he captivated me at the age of 15 when I saw him perform "Purple Rain" on a cold, wet morning in London suburbia and it's been great fun following the twists and turns of a fabulous career. He's created a magical musical world of all colours, hues, textures to which I can escape and satisfy any mood. My favourite memory? Gotta be the last night of his O2 2007 residency where he did a 3-hour set, followed by a 3 and a half hour after show which was opened with Amy Winehouse singing "Love is a losing game" with Prince serenading on guitar. Wow. It started at 1.30 am and finished just shy of 5am.Went straight to work (I'm a postman) and just before posting my first letter, I looked across a deserted park to a gorgeous dawn with Purple funk still ringing in my ears, wearing the biggest shit-eating grin, still shaking my head in what I just witnessed and indeed the 2007 residency. I thouhht at the time, if I never see him again, I'm happy with with my 'Prince live' lot. Of course I feel differently now. Such a sad loss. An astute person here wrote that they're going to "Create, create...Create" in his honour. That's good enough for me. RIP my purple friend. Thank you for sprinkling your glitter, magic and colour over this world. You were a true star - the trouble was, you just didn't know how to stop shining. x

I still feel it... There's too much April snow this year...
It looks like he has Hitnrun style artwork for all of his previous albums. One can only imagine if they were related to future Vault releases. Nobody I know gun' bite

YouTube has a plethora of Prince videos. I'm gonna burn up my computer trying to view all of them. Some of the songs are new to me, and rediscovering some of the old stuff is just as magical. I miss him so... [Edited 4/28/16 8:25am]

Just a few thoughts... . It all feels surreal to me - as if I had lost a friend. . I first took notice of Prince when I was a kid, when "Kiss" was played on TV. I liked it, but it didn't have the effect yet that it would later have on me. . Then there was the release of "Graffiti Bridge", with some of it being played on the radio (yes, the radio back then would actually discuss a new album by a major artist in detail!). Funny enough, it was the title track (which receives a lot of dislike here on the org) that really got me. . In 1991, I turned 15 and started to listen to more 'serious' music instead of some kiddies pop. I bought "Diamonds & Pearls", and ever since, I'm a devoted fan. . Prince got me through my teenage years, his music was there when I had my first apartment (together with a flatmate), and his music was there when I met my wife (she barely knew him when we met and is a fan now too). We even had "Sexy MF" played at our wedding, which was my wife's idea in order to make the celebration special and not too boring - the look on people's faces was priceless... Prince's music was there to lift me up when I was down, and it was there to teach me about the darker aspects of life when I would tend to ignore them. I have seen him live in concert four times, with tickets for a fifth concert (the show with 3rdeyegirl in Berlin in 2014 which then unfortunately got cancelled). . When Prince died on April 21st 2016, I felt that my youth has somehow just died with him - at least it has come to some undeniable end. The music will live forever though - and even though he can't bless us anymore with his incredible abilities as a live musician, we can only hope that tons of material (studio and live) from the vault will see the light of day in upcoming years. . Some individuals (let's just call them 'geniuses') do not operate at the frequency of normal people. Prince was one of them. There was some divine energy being channelled through him to inspire us mere mortals here on Earth. Prince's talent was not the talent of a mere mortal - it was divine inspiration given to us via the body of a mere mortal. It seems like that body lacked the energy now to continue with that. His incredible soul had to move on somewhere else. . I thank God for his grace to let my lifetime overlap with the life of Prince Rogers Nelson for nearly 40 years. I thus got the chance to witness the most incredible craft in the history of popular music, something which I can tell the young folks about when I will (hopefully) be in a retirement home one day as an old man. I will never forget this experience. . Thank you, Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson!

Such beautiful words by so many of you. I don't know if this has been spoken of....I thought this right away when I realized the date of P's death.
Does anyone besides me find it significant that his death date totals 7? Eventually every cloud runs out of rain.

I hadn't posted in here since the release of Art Official Age. I feel comforted by everyone's comments here. I don't feel so lonely in my grieving experience. There are others here that feel similarly.
I'm still sobbing on and off. I still can't believe it. I can feel his absence from the world. So so sad

Almost 7 years ago, MJ left the world and I was devastated. Now, Prince...it's just too much for me to handle. I feel as though he's still living and I'm having this horrible nightmare. I wonder why Prince ? I saw him twice in concert and I must say he makes sure that fans leave the show with a bright smile on their faces. Unlike other artists, he was generous as he would perform for hours and often he doesn't take any breaks. Just like MJ, Prince made many moments of my life memorable. It will take time for me to accept that he's gone...I love you from the bottom of my heart Prince. Rest in peace Gotta keep the funk alive !
