‘CRAZY 2 COOL’: The Current to play exclusive live medley by Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL

When we decided to have a little fun this winter and go all-Prince on our Loca...ent stream as soon as it snows, we had no idea what Prince himself might make of our little stunt. In fact, he loves the idea, and to help everyone get in the Purple spirit, he’s sharing “CRAZY 2 COOL”: an exclusive live recording that The Current will play this Friday.

The 20-minute recording is a searing medley performed by Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL, recorded on June 1, 2014 at Le Zenith in Paris. The Current’s airing of the medley will be the world premiere of this authorized live recording that contains – as Paisley Park puts it – a raucous selection of “hits and surprises.” We’ll play it at 5:00 p.m. CT, and then again at 10:00 CT, this coming Friday, Nov. 6. Fans in our broadcast area can tune in on the radio, and everyone in Minnesota and beyond will also be able to hear the broadcast streaming online. Here’s a sneak preview

Prince has also announced that on Saturday, he’ll share a live acoustic performance called OUI CAN LUV recorded at Paisley Park. The performance centers on Andy Allo, with Prince filling in as “special guest guitarist.” OUI CAN LUV will stream exclusively on Tidal from 7:00 p.m. Saturday night through 7:00 a.m. the following morning. Allo’s 2012 album Superconductor, co-produced by Prince, will also be made available on Tidal to coincide with the OUI CAN LUV stream.

Meanwhile, we’ll continue to watch the skies! The first 20 minuets of the Paris concert? Why 20 mineuts? Give us the entire fucking thing? The bootleg is already out there in amazing quality.

i knew about this earlier, just seen this thread. lol at people thinking it was gonna be a new album or tour. it's a medley of Lets go Crazy, Raspberry beret, take me with u etc recorded a year and a half ago.

yeah, oui can luv is a song she put on her facebook page ages ago,

together with songs like "love is a losing game", "guitar" and their
duet "u will b", i think it was 2012.

it's nice to see that he's still pushing Andy, even if it is perhaps only
to recoup his investment her album was pretty good and she's
a nice person as far as i can tell, so any extra exposure she gets is a
good thing.

LMAO. And he wonders why he struggles to keep the small legion of fans (who coundn't even bother to buy his latest CD) around. What a joke.

He knows you well, and he knows what "BIG NEWS" does to everybody. It's all part of the rug pull. Isn't it obvious?

In any event, one only needs to take a cursory glance at Prince's long history of let downs, screw-ups, and mismanagements to know that he doesn't give a flying fuck what you want or need?

to be fair though, there is progress. at least this time they only let the excitement build for 2 hours
before deflating us they could have stretched it 'till friday (like they did in the past) so that's a
thing to be thankful for.

It is a good album. I always loved her cover of Wild World too, beautifully done with a great song.
