Prince giving props to Aretha "soul II soul"

Everyone was pretty much touched by Aretha's performance of Natural Woman in front of a teary eyed Obama and an incredibly grateful Carole King.

I think it's damn appropriate that Prince is joining the chorus. The two are indeed some of the greatest musical souls around. Doesn't matter if they made a thousand personal and career mistakes and are regally proud to the point of being stubborn, on stage they have that unmistakable power. Aretha does have it better (as any Queen should), no one constantly mentions her latest record isn't as good as I Never Loved A Man because... what does she has to prove?

No doubt Prince will one day have his own moment in this kind of setting, he amptly deserves it, and I'm pretty sure he'll want to honour the quality Aretha brought on that occasion.

The link he shared.
