So glad I didn't see this until after the reveal had happened. I know that we shouldn't get excited when Prince announces big news is coming but I always can't help but hope that this time, this time it will be different. lol

Anyone prefer the Graffiti Bridge version of We Can Funk? I think i actually do, its got that catchy little synth line going on, George Clinton on it, i've always prefered it to the outake.

So..."on the 4th day of November", Prince takes to Twitter and announces that he's got "BIG NEWS IN THE NEXT 2 HOURS" only for the news to turn out to be..."something close to nothing".

Both are great imo and different enough for it not to be a case of preferring one over the other, they both have their merits. I even quite like Oui Can Luv, pretty novel take on a classic.

Honest to god though, the over-blown sense of self importance, ego and arrogance this dude displays sometimes is absolutely hilarious to watch. Admittedly, it's kind of fun sometimes and adds to his mystique, but in cases like this, what planet is Prince living on where he thinks that streaming 10-15 minutes of live concert audio is "BIG" or that anyone besides KCOOL and 50 or so other people even give a shit?

I can dig up hours worth of far superior live material in the time it took me to post this.

Prince needs to get out more.

Keep getting confused with timezones here. You guys are obviously on Pacific time, which is 21 hours behind my time GMT + 13 (New Zealand summer time).

It says here is 2.04pm November 5th, in fact here its 11.05am on November 6th!

So the big event was a 20 minute streaming of a 18 month old concert, big news for Media Husseinite Prince, for us and any other artist who is not a egotistical prick drowning in his own ego, a big so what!
