If you have to listen that closely to try to hear a difference, there isnt one - or at least thats my experience. I am a bit of a stickler for quality and I never thought the originall NPGMC downloads were bad. I made CDs of them all that I play to this day and they sound as good as any factory pressed store bought domestic CD from my collection of 10K. If the remasters are going to come one day now that the WB issue is resolved,some of these are not that essential anyway. TO each his own I guess.

What is to prevents you from signing up for the free trial, getting everything for Prince that is there, and quitting before they charge you?

There was some bullshit controversy over the White makeup of the pre-existing staff of Aspiro Digital, the company Jay Z bought to create TIDAL and that continues to serve as the technical backend, whose headquarters are IN NORWAY. The actual TIDAL staff share offices with Roc Nation in New York and is no doubt more diverse.

I wonder if someone will end up "capturing" all of the NPGMC and mp3 stuff in FLAC or WAV? TO have 'Xpectation', 'Slaughterhouse', etc., in high quality would be the bomb... and it's not like it's for sale anywhere.

Was kinda hoping F.U.N.K. would make it back on being that it's gone from itunes. Fairly sure my copy these days is only a rip from youtube.

Rainbow Children, Gold, Chaos & Disorder, 3121, Girl 6, the Black Album, the two Rave albums, Planet Earth, 20Ten, Crystal Ball, One Nite Alone Live, Indigo Nights, Kamasutra, the madhouse albums. Excluding EPs and B sides, is there anyting else that was officially released that is missing from Tidal and did I list anything that actually is there that I overlooked? If Prince follows through and Tidal survives, this has the potential to be what the NPGMC should have been. The content needs to be complete in terms of official releases and there is still the issue that you don't actually get to own any of the music.

1-800-NEWFUNK also missing.

Previously C-note was only available as mp3 files if I recall correctly, so these Tidal files should definitely be an improvement.. Same with a few other things on there... There are also a few b-sides never been digital before

All of these b-sides have been on iTunes for years.

Hopefully they are working on adding the missing albums. It's odd that some of them are missing while NPGMC only releases are up. To work the collection really needs to be complete.
