Am I missing something or is there nothing to be missed. He looked like a fool. Almost as bad as during the Rave smurf outfit days. He could have at least looked somewhat of a legend instead of a buffoon. I was stupidly led to believe he would make a door crasher blow the roof off the place suprise deal and instead got a guy who I used to admire the hell out of posing as a glass of tang.

you got some strong words there slick,,post your picture and what you do,, i would venture to guess, you to bee a very sad, lonely , miserable, could have been a contender person..

Calm down champ. I may have been a little heated in my critique. I'm just a normal dude. Never a wanna be or a failed dreamer.Prince brings out a mean streak in me that's not there for other artists cause I care too much. He didn't look good but I retract the fool or buffoon statement. That's a little much. He could and should be not so disappointing so often is simply the point.

PRINCE Set For “Surprise” Grammy Appearance!

Prince Photo: Kevin Mazure/WireImage.com

Has it really been over 10 years since PRINCE stole the Grammy's with Beyonce? It has but you may just see him there in some capacity on music's biggest night!

According to US Magazine, a Grammy source says the music icon has “something very, very special in the works!”

WOW!!!! That was so very, very special!!! He delivered even less than I expected. He presented an award. Huge news everyone!

--- This came from US Weekly at no point did anyone say Prince would be performing but I understand if you read it on internet be true eek

Kanye is really a very nice, humble, person when U talk to him one on one. Even though I did think it was funny. How DARE he walk on stage, & try to upstage my musical idols, GLORY moment!!! My patience is starting to run out on defending him.. mad Especially since I found out it wasn't really a joke.

You've often spoken to him one on one?

Great that Beck is one of your musical idols, good taste.

[Edited 2/9/15 10:19am]

I've spoken to him one on one. But not often.

Eye was talking about prince as my musical idol not Beck. Even though Beck is a REAL artist, that doesn't pretend like he wrote a song, that he really had NOTHING to do with, besides sing the lead vocal. rolleyes

[Edited 2/9/15 12:50pm]

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

You're silly. Hozier didn't even dominate his own segment, no one left the grammys talking about his performance, they were talking about Annie. This song and that performance might end up being the climax of his career. Let the guy grow some hair on his balls before comparing him to anyone. Jaded Prince fans kill me.. lol

Change it one more time..

The Grammys in general was a very dull affair, in my humble opinion. I knew Prince didn't have anything "special" planned, but to just walk on stage to get jocked by the audience of his peers. *yawn* I will give credit on what Prince said, "albums and black lives matter", but that was the only thing noteworthy of the entire broadcast.

Local music critic Jeff Miers:

The biggest upset

Beck taking “Album of the Year”

This was not supposed to happen. Beck kicked both Beyoncé and Sam Smith to the curb by taking the “Album of the Year” trophy. This was a triumph in the ever-raging battle between art and commerce, for “Morning Phase” is a finely crafted, beautifully recorded collection of songs, an album that has “timeless” written all over it. That Prince was the man who handed out the award – “Albums – remember those?” he asked, with that million-dollar smirk on his face – made the victory all the more sweet, for Prince is the poster child for the “art matters more than mainstream success” argument. (Prince, in fact, released two albums this year, and both are more deserving of a Grammy than the efforts of Smith and Beyoncé combined, but I digress.)

Prince went on to offer the best line of the night, before handing Beck his award for the year’s best album:

“Like books and black lives, albums still matter.”

Indeed.

Ugg. I had to groan reading that line. I'll have ti remember the name. Jeff Miers, a music critic to automatically ignore, who outed himself as clueless and tasteless.

As much as I didn't like AoA and PE, I have to agree with this critic in saying those Prince albums was more deserving of the Grammy this year. That's how bad this year has been in terms of music.
