There's all sorts of rumors on Twitter from the red carpet that Prince IS going to perform.

That leaked schedule could be a diversionary tactic, we'll see....

Just like I wisely said earlier, when it comes to Prince, set your expectations on ultra low! Or else be prepared for disappointment! To put it another way, get over a Revolution Reunion, and Purple Rain Remaster Edition....it's pretty obvious it's not gonna happen. The Game of Thrones behind the scenes special and The Walking Dead shall serve as my viewing entertainment pleasure tonight. smile

i'm more excited for Beck who may win the best album of the year, and well deservedly so cool

to see prince hand the award to beck would be nice since they're my two favorite artists woot!

Looks like you were right sad it's a shame that Prince won't seize the opportunity to do something BIG.He could have surprised and thrilled everyone tonight if he wanted to,with a kickass Revolution reunion.

This was the "something very special"???? Lol

The tight GRAMMYS production doesn't allow for any major production-heavy surprises, not when ppl are tweeting run of show schedules. He will walk out, with a new cane, and a good wig.... People will freak out and scream. And that will be it.

I'm taping it just in case he performs the complete Computer Blue.

No, I'm taping it because he might appear on stage with the full Revolution.

Scratch that, I'm taping it because I hope he performs Manic Monday with the reunited Bangles.

Scratch that scratch, he's there to perform a medley of Purple Rain/Umbrella with Riri.

Anyone else see the irony of Prince presenting an award he should've won (arguably twice)? I really do hope he performs though.

chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads

As good as those albums are or are not, they are not Best Album material. Granted, it's relative to the other albums released this year . . .

How will giving an award to the winner of an category he's not nominated for change the music industry forever?

I was really amped for this thinking it was a chance to have a killer performance before time runs out. And this is such a star studded grammys would have been a perfect oppurtunity. If your just gonna present don't make a big announcement. Totally pissed off beyond belief.

He could have performed with the Revolution tonight, release the Purple Rain deluxe edition tomorrow, sell a zillion copies, and been the week's biggest story. The opportunity was there.

I've also heard Madge is opening the show yet the run of show schedule shows AC DC opening so it might be old & inaccurate meaning P could still do something. Just saying..

I like ac/dc well enough, and saw them perform on the Tonight Show, but even at their peak, they would not be chosen to open a Grammy telecast. I think it's cool for them especially at their age, but it's still a head scratcher.

He probably did not want to put on devil horns and sing about hell w/AC/DC.

He seldom sits in the audience of these things unless he is nominated or is performing.

There wasn't ever an official announcement. Your disappointment is entirely your fault.

Even that's wiseful thinking when it comes to Prince. There is a big chance he won't even show up. Let's face it, this is what Prince is all about these days....nothing much.
