Solo is one of my favorite tracks to listen to! SO much emotion, and his register is so powerful here. He has never done anything like this before of since. Some compare it to 'God' but this song is even more stronger to me. So beautiful and dark. Sounds like a slave hymn or something. I get it, and don't understand why its not recognized as a beautiful track around here? lol

This is one of the strangest albums to compare, not in a bad way. But it almost as if they were produced from different people? lol

Yes, I agree about Solo, very nice, haunting, like a slave hymn ("negro spiritual") and early blues singing. Yes, lots of Prince stuff sound like they're from different people - I often meet people who "don't like Prince," but I'm always able to find something of his in the style that they like, and they're surprised. lol haha

smile YES! I totally agree ith you!!! Haha...

Prince is one of the most diverse artists ever! smile

I like both albums but Come wins because of "Come." Awesome track, especially from about 9:05 till the end. LOVE the horns!

It doesn't really stand out now but the first time I heard Come it sounded really different than anything else he had ever done, before or after. Compared to other albums from around the same era (Diamonds and Pearls, prince, The Gold Experience, Chaos and Disorder) it definitely has a unique sound. I would guess that it has more, and different sounding, drum machines and some different keyboard sounds than those other albums which mostly feature live drums.

I agree with the 9:05 till the end statement. I should be used to Prince surprising me with a out of nowhere ending. But when the groove kicks in...forget about it smile He got me the same way with the rock groove at the end of Papa.

Most things that I worry about, never happen anyway
