Never in a million years did I think Prince would release this song in any type of format officially at all.

Drfunkenberry was teasing about a major announcement all week and I thought it was going to be aftershows in Canada or something.

It is going to take a while for this version to grow on me because I am so familiar with the unreleased version.

I think I am gonna play this on a loop for hours!!!!!

I have listened to extraloveable 1,000s of times, so why when I listen to this, do I just go, hmmph?

Now, I'm a big supporter of some of P's newer stuff, but this seems to lack umph and the production loses the magic that the original has in spades.

I've listened to it once, and may listen once more, before I go back to the real one!

This is very funky and I'm looking forward to the full version.

The thing is, the original is untouchable and will remain so, because it simply is the original. You can't compare any version to it, and certainly not this one, because it's completely different and.

The new version is freshly funky and playful and I really dig that.

The old version is more aggressive and in-yo-face, but, like I said - you can't and shouldn't compare them.

If it were a completely new track (or we wouldn't know the old version) I bet all of us would be completely blown away.

This is one of Prince's best tracks for sure... However, as funky as this new version might be, the RAW, SEXUAL, UNINHIBITED nature of the original recording just can't be reproduced...

I definitely wasn't expecting this one though..... Hopefully, this new track will encourage newer fans to dig into the vault a little more.

haha I edited because I didn't want to sound to harsh, its great that he finally released it though. I was a little thrown off because it's slower, and funkier, I just got to hear the whole thing. I love the original though, I can't help it.

This one kind of goes though with who he is now, slow is down and make it funkay, you have me over here laughing tho with the THIS IS WHACK, I could imagine you saying that in the studio with Prince after he played it for the fans

If he would have kept the same production, I would roll with it...but he didn't & it's sucks. Hearing this makes me wonder what "newer" songs from his recent albums originally sound like....

Well. Yeah. It is a new version of a old song.

But I hope the full version is good. And I hope this song is maybe a part of a new project. I will like to hear new songs more than just old outtakes in a new version tbh. And yes I'm a big fan, and I like almost everything. I usualy not complaining so...
