I like the music.

I don't like that rapping on it at all, find it a bit pointless and its not going anywhere with any substance.

Apart from that I like Prince's singing and his backing and especially the music.

That is, these thoughts are after hearing the sample. Wish I lived in Canada.

I tried to sign up for a Canadian iTunes account but it wouldn't let me.

I think you have to really be (and I mean this with the utmost respect) very shallow in live experiences to even want Prince to interpret something he wrote 30 years ago the EXACT way he did then today. You have to accept and recognize the growth in this man's live and appreciate the work as is.

And for all those out there who have enjoyed this track (as have I) on bootleg. Do your part and support the single when it is available in your area! It's only right.

This is one time where I think the band tearing it up would help. I love the song, but this version takes the away any urgency and feeling out of it. It feels too antiseptic. Too lithiumed out. If the other one sounded like he was on meth, this one sounds like he is on Valium.

I really really really feel a live band version of this rocked out would work much better than this lounge middle of the road Casio R&B version. Maybe this is just a test sampler to whet our appetite for the Revolution version he has been working on over at the tree-house. oops did I let that slip?

Talk about giving a song life. What they lack in finesse the make up in energy. Emotion and energy is something very lacking in most of Prince's for a while. That's why I loved Andy's cover of" We can Funk" she added an emotion that Prince doesn't seem to be able to muster anymore.

I mean i'd be kinda weirded out if a 50+ man was singing the same things he did at 22. I like this new version. of course it isn't better than the original but it's definitely better than nothing. I actually like it.

I think you meant to say the VIDEO made the cover more enjoyable than the new Prince version.

I don't like to say this word often but, it's 'cute'. P's turned it into R&B and honestly ... It's possible this could hit 'radio' perhaps HOT 105 here in South Florida or maybe WEDR 99 Jamz. It has NOTHING on the original but, it's cool.

I was able to download it and compare it against the 3 versions I have of the un-released version and P was just killin' it on the original.

I'd give it 4 stars out of 7

Love the new version but Andy Allo, I'm guessing, is rapping and she sounds like a wanna-be Eve who nobody is listening to anymore. The new version in my opinion is Extra-Funky where the original has that built up sexual angst and is a different style of funky. Glad to have both. Thanks Prince.

def better than nothing but did he have to mess with the tempo and make it lifeless? it was better fast! I haven't heard it all so I'm just going off the sample track. Oh and the g rated subsitute words feel like they're improvised and don't fit at all. Oh I can't wait to hear the whole thing hopefully it'll prove me wrong and make me like it a little bit more.
