Me too. But didn't got a shipment notificaten so far. That's why I emailed PurpleMusic and got a prompt response. CD's are on the way since 12th and because I chose regular mail it may took a bit longer from the Swiss to Germany. So will get it right before xMas.

Not sure if this has been posted, but these remixes are available for listening on Spotify (if anyone here uses that).
The remixes do nothing to add to the song, and are pretty boring.

Nothing was nailed P had remixes back in the 80s and 90s.

I just got it, and it's actually VERY disappointing. Why did Prince feel this song needed a 'remix'? This song is perfect the way it is. I enjoy the original version a great deal! It's one of his best FUNK songs, and it's sexy! Haha. But this remix just makes all of the things I loved in it, become cringe worthy. Why did he have to strike this distribution DEAL! Couldn't he just re-release it the way it was? Or better yet a new song! (I'm not trying to sound bitter, but I think this was a poor decision on his behalf) It Sounds excellent and would fit for this day now left AS IS. Remixes screw so many things up, ESPECIALLY 'Dance 4 Me'. For me. Haha It's Button Therapy, Baby!

It's not like this would be his first.
And trust me: another DJ's remix is better than when Prince himself tries to make techno/house.
~shudder~
(Yeah, I'm looking at you, "Eye Wanna Melt With U". And don't think I've forgotten about you, "Loose!")
No, that honour goes to his attempt at dubstep, i.e., LAYITDOWN on 20Ten [Edited 12/19/11 15:52pm]

Well the owner of the store is a prick. I remember him when he had a stall in Camden Market and a full head of hair. He used to mainly sell vinyl and cassette bootlegs. He had one of the Black Album around the time that "unofficial" pressings of the album first appeared. Excited, I asked if I could hear a bit of it. Considering that Camden Market was a haven at that time for bootleg sellers, I found his excuse of "I can't play it, it's too risky as I might get caught" ridiculous considering that about every fourth stall sold bootlegs and played them. Stupidly ignoring this, I bought it. It sounded like someone had recorded the album being played from inside a toilet.

That I find your anger after 20 odd years amusing. Did you not take the item back to him? I would have.

As it happens, I did. He said that it couldn't have been bought from him and I didn't have a receipt for it. I was 11 and bought it from a crappy market stall. He's nothing but a dodgy geezer who went straight. And Sister Ray sell a lot of "new" CDs which are marked. Bought one there a year ago simply as I couldn't find it anywhere else - it had been fingered more times than Jenna Jameson. The staff begrudgingly refunded me.

The remixes are actually doing quite well on the dance charts. I'm very surprised. One of the remixes is actually in the house music top 10 for most downloaded songs.

Thsi was mentioned before bij Dr. Funkenberry: "Purple Music" will also distribute "2nite" by Bria Valente (a song featured on her Elixer CD that came with Prince's 2009 Lotusflow3r collection) and credits Bria as a Prince protegé, background vocalist for Usher, as well as a singer and model. There will be a few mixes of the song as well but nothing further they can say at this time.

Seems our boy wont be completely happy until he drowns out all of his brilliant material with this nonsense. I swear, if someone where to just discover Prince today, they would have the weed through mountains of garbage to get to the good stuff. That's unfortunate for such a taltented artist.
