I Love U in Me I have always secretly loved this song solely cuz it's a song that only Prince could've wrote and sung no other man could pull this one off besides all that it is genuinely a good song. The melody is sweet and it is romantic when you actually listen to the lyrics the thunderstorm part gets me every time. Opinions?

Another Prince title that sounds gay unless you actually hear the lyrics. "If I Was Your Girlfriend" is the other.
Love this song. Rare Prince "low voice" vocals are spot on! The tinkling electric piano.

why "secretly"? Just one of those Prince songs that you love, but you wouldn't dare play loudly like Pussy Control although I did see and hear this chick singing PC out loud at a concert-that was embarrassing and she was sloppy ass drunk so yeah it's in that secret Prince songs I love category

Hey Nursev (from Funkytown)! I loved this song when I immediately heard it. I think it was the flip side to "Arms of Orion". I had the cassette single (remember those?). I played the heck out of it.
Not relating to this but I have a friend that has written and performed a song called "Am I Beautiful?". The lyrics are about his girlfriend asking him if she is beautiful and of course in the lyrics he sings, "Yes you are". It's a very gorgeous song but the title is a bit misleading like these Prince songs!

I like "Arms of Orion" too. And that James Blunt guy had a song called "You're Beautiful" which I totally get. But "Am I Beautiful?"...At least Prince threw in "and she said" to distinguish that the female is saying this. My friend does not but I still like his song!!

I am with you too, Nurse.
I love this song deeply.
Back when it was released I could not help playing the "Arms Of Orion" B-side on replay over and over.
Fantastic song, simple, clever and beautiful. Prince 4Ever.

I like it, but mostly because it was played live on the 1995 tour and it always reminds me of that. Otherwise it would have been just another song to me.

I love this song a lot. It's tied in my top 3 favourite B-Side along with She's Always In My Hair and Erotic City.

Love it much. So sensual and easy to adopt during intimacy Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

it's a woman saying, 'i love it when your dick is inside me'?
This song slightly weirds me out because it's played like a romantic ballad, sort of like Adore... Wouldn't it be a little strange if the lyrics of Adore were changed and amounted to, 'I love the way your pussy feels when my dick is in it'?
And the fact that it's Prince almost writing from a woman's perspective, but the words he gives her aren't 'i'll give you my heart/mind/body/time', they're just dirty talk - and that really gets him off, oh baby! But again, it's presented in a way closer to Adore than to Automatic...
i dunno... maybe I'm just squeamish, but this song is wacky to me.

It's a good song but I don't like the sound of the keyboards. They sound too late '80s adult contemporary.

There was a point in time some years ago when I sincerely HATED this track. I've come around to digging it since then, and actually spin it quite frequently at the moment.

can you believe that he recorded this after listening to a lot of middle of the road R&B songs by older, established artists who were big at the time. This was his interpretation of that sound at the time !!, he truly was a unique talent at the time mixed with a little bit of sickness!. Wish I could find the interview at the time confirming all of this.

It's actually a favourite of mine--b-side or otherwise. I dig the sensual, intimate sound coupled with his rather carnal lyricism; it's a great dichotomy that works really well!

Surgery. Yes I know what he means but it's still a poor choice of word for the song.

The One/monad really doesn't love another until they realize that what they love in the other is really God in the lover as love loving the other as Love and it becomes reflective and infinite.
