Not unusual in Princeworld, unfortunately. But if you stick to your guns and a few copies are sent out to pre-orders first before they're withdrawn, you have a future collectible of sorts.

No sign of the cd as yet, but £16 for the pic disc seems a bit pricey.

I'm not a patient man so i cancelled the order!!!

I looked at Purplemusicc.ch, they seem to have them available to download but couldn't get the single to get added to the 'basket' so I wonder if the physical release has been pulled?!

It's strange that such a company as Amazon enables you to pre-order but then has them out of stock.....it implies the supplier or purplemusic fucked up or at least cancelled the release...they shouldn't have underestimated the demand as that's what pre-ordering is for!!

^^The physical release cannot have been pulled, they are selling the vinyls on ebay and they are in stock and have a 3 day delivery time.

I'm with you on amazon though. I pre order things a lot, and I have never encountered such a delay before. However, I do know of at least one person who also pre ordered from amazon and their cd was dispatched to them with no delay.

I'm in Italy and I ordered to my local shop, getting it yesterday.

To be honest, a weak release.

Nothing interesting (remixes are very bad, let's say it) and a cardboard sleeve, which I really hate.

Played it once, and already to collect dust with similar releases.

truely awful imo and just sums up where is Prince is at musically these days, out of touch.

I'm a bit collector of his vinyl especially pictures disc yet have zero interest in this whatsoever..its like 1999 New Master all over again...

Got a notification yesterday my copy was despatched, but from an Amazon seller - I didn't go with Amazon themselves even though they were a couple of quid cheaper because of the 1-3 weeks thing (which usually means release blackhole).

Cool that you finally got your copy. I'm still waiting. I did get my 12inch pic disc today (ebay purchase) and it's a fine looking thing.

Arrived today in it's cruddy little card slipcase. 6 tracks though, I think that's the most tracks on a P. single since....... 1999:TNM?! I dunno.

What an oddity of a release though. A track from 2 albums back, released on a tiny eurotrash label, with practically zero promo. Just a tiny little oddity in the P. catalog I guess.

Any way ripped and filed away for all eternity

I heard there selling it in some of those specialised record shops, I'm probably gonna buy mine from there esp with the xmas post on.

No eurotrash label ..a well known label from an well known DJ...

Some of the mixes are quite good and it is available everywhere on i-tunes...

Why should he make big promotion for a single release like that? Now that would be funny!

Same here I will never play it I just want it to look at, I'm not a big collector of things but I do have soft for picture discs, wish there was more of them still around.
