You know you were TC's #1 fan. Stop frontin', negro!! You were sittin' there rappin' along with Robin Power's "Number One" song while dedicating it to TC.

but wasn't that u pumping ur fist like u were on the jersey shore shouting "tc is in the house!" while going 2 up prince saying "yo kid u should let tc rap!" man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Back to the topic at hand ...
Awesome version -- I really liked Andy's interpretation.
Although, I'll admit, the clearing here throat thing is funny & true. And I'm not a huge fan of Andy overall (she's decent, but not great). Still, it was really cool to hear such a different take on the song. Gave it a whole new emotional heft.

Absolutely horrible. She has totally butchered it.
Prince believes in Chemtrails and I've thought for sometime he needs to go on a detox/chelation/cleanse 'cause he is in a rut where he keeps associating with people that aren't in his league and repeating his behaviour. The fact that he allowed her to put this piece of "work" out is more proof he needs to get right.

Your post made me want to listen to the snippet. I didn't think it was horrible. She sings this Prince song like she sings the other songs she's covered. Her voice makes me sleepy bcuz it's soft, pretty and relaxing. Her voice can help people who have trouble falling asleep. I read Prince doesn't sleep much. I don't know for sure if Prince has trouble sleeping but if I had trouble sleeping I would have Andy sing and strum her guitar for me. ...bing ain't lie.

It sounds like to me Prince has found that unique female voice that has a sort of Sade quality. I am not saying that she sounds like her, but I am saying she contemporizes those sort of ballads.
I love her take on the song, it gives me cold chills when her voice cracks. It is sort of that low, soft sound you want to hear moan from a woman's throat when she is serious about a man.
I can only hope this is a sign of something great to come.
She is also very beautiful, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the song. We are all so full of here

Bria wasn't it so Andy's mellow voice and beauty makes her his best bet. Andy is more talented and prettier than Bria in my opinion. [Edited 11/18/11 6:48am] ...bing ain't lie.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If it helps you sleep cool for you. I say move over NyQuil or more likely Roofies cuz her 'singing' would def want me to be knocked out if I had to listen to it. If P does have trouble sleeping more need than before for a cleanse and maybe some ear irrigation as something is off to allow this. Also, for anyone to compare her to Sade totally blows my mind; it is incomprehensable to even mention them in the same sentence. Macy Gray does come to mind thou...

She deserves to be out there doing what she loves to do. I'm not sure how far she will go after hooking up w/ Prince but I can't fault him for taking her under his wing. She's worth it. No, she doesn't come close to being as interesting as Sade or Macy Gray but she's the perfect type for Prince to do what he loves to do and that is make music. It's his thing to do how he pleases. If people don't like it they won't buy it. From what I've heard so far it's wash, rinse, repeat and I'm not buying. And the song w/ her rapping, the Extralovable remake, doesn't need to be released in the US. [Edited 11/23/11 7:06am] ...bing ain't lie.

Oh, Prince owns her forever now I would guess. When he is done with her then she is probably finished in the BIG sense. I would love to see, however, a powerhouse talent take off from beneath him that he could never contain. That would be a welcome twist. Maybe he would once and for all be convinced that he will still be Prince and the threat is not as large as he thinks. He seems so arrogant, but he acts so insecure. We are all so full of here
