Actually St Paul, by his own admission, has gone by PP unannounced in the past. It was in a 2004 Star Tribune article, where he mentioned leaving Prince a thank you note. So it probably is not safe to assume Prince invited them. But at least you admitted that you made that part up.

Such confusion over simple English is mind boggling. whatever St. Paul did in 2004, has nothing to do with now. I can't see the band just showing up unannounced after having such a disagreement over the name, so IMO i think its safe to say that the invitation was from Prince. and even if I was wrong, Once again, I was responding to a post which stated that he/she would have declined Prince's invitation. I didn't just make up the invitation just for the sake of it. Whether it really happened or it was a hypothetical point, it was just a response to that point. do you undertand that part or do you want me to draw a diagram for you or show you flash cards with pictures to help?

Actually there is no confusion at all. You are IMAGINING events in your mind, seperate and apart, from what FDeluexe claimed. You may be wrong, or you may in fact be correct, but so far there is no factual basis to support Prince inviting anyone to PP. The only facts we have is that folks tend to roll over there and knock on the door from time to time. So yeah, you did make up the invitation just for the sake of it.

If I was responding to an Orger who stated that they would have declined a Prince invitation, how is that me imagining anything or making anything up? I noticed you keep ignoring that fact. Your just hung up on the invitation part because as a Prince hater you refuse to believe that any invitation was sent from Prince. that's what this silliness is all about. You are trying to deflect your obvious hateration by bring up "imagination nonsense". the fact that you would even engage in a debate on a Prince invitation is hilarious. why do you even care whether that was a fact or not, if I was simply responding to a sentiment that someone else expressed?

Whatsinit4me

A week b4 all this news went down, I was talking with a friend of mine about Prince's proteges from the very 1st one 2 the very last one.

My friend told, to give it "a chance," that if Prince sets something out, it could be "worth it."

After I pleaded with my friend, I agreed with what the friend finally said.

So when this news dropped, I just waited.

I hope my friend realizes that now, that what I said was true. neutral

I could care less if Prince, invited anyone or not. I was not ignoring the fact that you were responding to someone else's comments. I don't dispute that you were. I just noticed you were getting way out in front of the known facts, and taking things EVEN FURTHER with the statement that Prince invited people to a meeting and saying that it was proof that all was well. Again, you made all of that up.

You know what's funny. The first indication of an invite from Prince came up in reply #9 which i was responding to, and you responded to that same post, in agreement too lol and did not even question the poster about that statment. I wonder why???? Is it because the post was negative towards Prince, oh yeah.....well ofcourse! What do you have to say about that????

I never stated anything about any of my comments being facts. I even posted IMO in bold and caps regarding why i believed it was a Prince invite, which I could care less if it wasn't.

In addition, there was nothing in FDeluxe's fb post to indicate that the visit was negative. I've never heard of anyone describing a negative experience as a "cool thing" as it was written, so my response to the whole they should have declined his invitation, I believe is in line with FDeluxes' statement.

They are taking the high road and extending an olive branch. Ultimately, they are leaving the door open for a better future relationship with him. Nothing crazy about that. I personaly doubt, they will EVER get Prince to give, sell, or negotiate anything with them. But you can't blame them for trying.

And yes, Prince did turn down working on the albums with the bands. And also every variation of a revenue split, sell or tranfer of rights to the back catalog or band names or anything else for that matter. The Time and FDeluxe have both mentioned it.

OK, I haven't seen either band mention asking P. to work on their respective albums, just about the names, but I'll defer to your better judgement/memory.

I agree about them taking the high road/extending an olive branch. Ultimately, I think Prince is the one losing out by being so rigid publically, even if not privately.

early in the works St Paul Susannah & Alan Leeds were talking with Prince about working together maybe do a song or 2
