You're 100% right. Your ear is good mate. This is Rock Lobster. Some people need to listen to Dr. Feelgood again unless they've had their ears damaged by Bobby Z lately.

I just went back and listened again and I have to take it back. Yes both are very similar but have to now agree that is is in fact Dr, Feelgood.

I should apologize for my snide "nope," which I really didn't mean to come across as snide.

...and after re-watching that clip to see if I was mistaken about Dr. Feel good or Rock Lobster, I have to re-state once again, that as much as I may knock Prince for some of his wackier tendancies, It is undeniable the man is a great artist and musician. The clips underscore the fact that the man is a master "fine artist" and "musician" first and foremost.

Rock Lobster/Dr. Feelgood?

As it is usually the case, maybe it is RodeoSchro that is the correct one on this.

He's been playing this as a coda to Anotherlover since at least the '07 London shows - it's always billed as Rock Lobster on the boots, but maybe it is Dr Feelgood. I'm just disappointed that something which felt like a fun, semi-improvised mash-up at the time is still being wheeled out four years later... like someone said above, where's the Prince who used to reinvent himself, and his live arrangements (and set lists, come to that), from year to year (or at least from tour to tour)...

That did sound like Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood, I thought P also performed that song, during the Nude tour or somewhere between, the GB and D&P era, possibly wrong. Any who Im still trying find out what brand boots he was wearing, them were some nice shingle shakin boots. & I was diggin them shades very PR inspired lookin

Didnt watch the interview, Im sure it was nothing new he stated. Correct me if Im wrong though

I know I absolutely hate that extra piano key that's being hit repetitively during the chorus. It's annoying and adds NOTHING to the song. In fact, it detracts. I've noticed it throughout his W2A run, and it absolutely STINKS!

I wouldn't go that far. I enjoyed it for the loose/jammy nature of it. But I do agree that it's probably one of the least 'tight' tv performances of his I've seen. Lots of little mistakes and fluffs.

The performance was ok. That first song blew (how many different ways can he do the same song???...yeah, we know, u funky...but stop telling us please!!). But he made up for it tearing it UP on guitar. Best part was Johnny B Good, which reminded me of the club aftershows he used to do. Not sure if that was very spontaneous, but it felt like it.

But I truly felt sorry for the guy when they did that cringe-worthy dance to Purple Rain. Hot damn was that embarrassing.

So did Wendy when she first appeared in the band.Wendy was on the Purple Rain tour. But she got better, So will Andy.

'm really just talking about the vibe she brings 2 Prince. Andy makes him feel comfortable, He plays off of her. Just like Prince use 2 do with Wendy.

I thought the Purple Rain dance was cute and Frenchy...I'm guessing they really like that song and wanted to show some love to P.
