This is a bit too simplistic imo. There is nothing like unlimited freedom. We're not allowed to kill other people. We're not allowed to steal. And so on... Besides such rules, the only proper reasoning to limit freedom imo is to limit it yourself for yourself only and on a voluntary basis. Maybe this is what Prince found out for himself. He just shouldn't come up with examples then where things are forced on people. He's a better guitar player than political analyst, that's for sure.

The readers' comments on the Guardian website are surprisingly positive taking into account what he says in the interview! Apart from the burqa remarks, it's a good interview. But I fear now that we are not going to hear any new music (or old, unreleased music) in a long time: he changes his mind all the time, but his obsession with having absolute control over the way his music is released and piracy is only getting worse.

Can you imagine if the last song we ever hear from him is "Rich Friends"?

Of course you can, didn't say you can. I also don't think this is good what he said but that don't change my feelings for Prince and his music. I think most fans will think the same at the end of the day
