He knew he blew that "fun being in Islamic countries" thing the second it came out of his mouth - and that it was going straight into the story. You can tell he wanted to put that toothpaste back in the tube - but knew he wouldn't be able to.

He already went too far according to the article on allowing the interviewer to question him about the internet and he commented anyway thinking the man would actually understand anything that came out of his mouth. Seem like the interviewer wasn't feeling him on those comments and then the Islam comments. Like I said Prince is a great musician but a horrible interview, despite this article's claim he is.

Sounds to me like he let down his guard and made an honest comment that reveals just how screwed up his current mentality is. He knows it's not appropriate to say, but I bet he really does think life would be simpler if everyone followed the same religion and women kept themselves covered up in public.

Well he DOES live in his own world but he shouldn't be shocked if not everybody shares it. Obviously it's an unpopular opinion and will probably remain so because it goes against that other side of utopia he was preaching about in 1980. lol

I've always thought of Prince as the little Napoleon of music and his comment don't give me any reason to think otherwise. lol But I still love his music anyway! wink

I think he still believes in a world where all women can dress like they want and have all the sex they want, all day and all night. As long as it happens in his house and he's the only man there.

Love ya Prince however ... on the whole [i like religion controlling people] aspect.... disbelief

For the no album release...I can live with that as much as I would like to hear another Prince album...oh well we cant make you release anything.

On the Noise pollution topic - He is spot on guys..it is a disturbance to human nature and concentration. Constant noise causes negative vibration to the enviornment. I didnt have religion to teach me that one.

When asked about the fate of those unhappy with having no choice, he replied: "There are people who are unhappy with everything. There's a dark side to everything."

How is one's decision to not want to be 'controlled' a dark side of thought? Having control of your own self is one thing, but the need to have athourity to tell you what you should think and do.....is that not what a jail is for? For the tyrants whom cannot control themselves? Prince..come on man...you been in your bubble for too long with that mess.

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Prince: 'I'm a musician. And I am music'

[... article in full...]

Wow. Congratulation, Prince. You are a fascist!* Luckily, a powerless one. That'll make you a very popular in Europe. You know .. because of their history**. I think next time people are unsure if Prince is too expensive to go see in concert, something like this will a consideration.

If anyone ever needed to crack open their tin can in space and get down to Earth, it was Prince.

What an intellectual imp he is. Has he heard of "the rest of the world"? Does he know there are others?

And what is sadder than an artist complaining about how others complain all the time?

* fas·cism
[fash-iz-uhm] Show IPA

–noun
1. ( sometimes initial capital letter)
a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing
opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an
aggressive nationalism and often racism

2. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism.

**Do you know .. .. "his-to-ry"? Do erh do you erhm re-ad? Or do you just listen to your rich, governmental cutomers who assures you that their civilians are "happy as goats - see they're smiling - see? Even when I poke her with a gun she's smiling Oh she has freedom of speech .. og sorts. Well, she can say what I want.

"It's fun being in Islamic countries, to know there's only one religion. There's order. You wear a burqa. There's no choice. People are happy with that."

That is probably the most pathetic and disheartening thing I've ever read from Prince.

What a fucking cretin.

Co-sign.

Only remotely interesting thing about all this is that
here, once again, he is pictured in front of an old 80s
picture of himself. This time SOTT era.

Yet another hint at remasters?

Anyway, more of the same. Hints and insanity. And lots
of moaning about everything except organised religion.

Boohoo. No new album from prince because of piracy.

The fans thank you prince. So much for free music lol

His money is in touring these days anyway. And it's sad
that someone who was once such an amazing artist will
now refuse to release an album because he won't maken
enough money off it or get a big enough advance.

He fucks up his own income again and again and then he
turns around and makes his fans the bad guys.

What a little bitch he's become. So sad.

And that's not even mentioning his mental state recently
and his seemingly horrible close minded world view.

Sigh.

He's spot on??? He is about to join a dozen festivals, pumping more decibels into the air in one night than most towns can in a year.

And to get there, he is zig zaging around the world on jet aircraft. He's even jetted into Paris to promote it.

He's a walking contradiction to his own advice.
