"Whitney Houston has lost her Prince privileges ... because sources tell TMZ the Purple One's people became so fed up with her erratic behavior and constant ticket demands ... that she is no longer allowed at his shows.

According to our Prince sources, Whitney attended several Prince concerts in the last few weeks and appeared to be "intoxicated" at each show -- though our sources never saw Whitney drink alcohol or take drugs.

We're told Whitney was constantly badgering Prince's staff to let her up on the stage ... but Team Prince shot her down every time because P's people "didn't want her to embarrass herself."

Our sources say Whitney's erratic behavior, coupled with repeated and excessive ticket demands became too much for Prince -- and his team ultimately banned Houston from his concerts.

As TMZ first reported, Houston is receiving treatment in an out-patient rehab program for ongoing drug and alcohol problems.

Calls to Houston's people have not been returned."

Hopefully Prince has inspired Whitney to give up crack. And hopefully rehab will help her see that her voice is shot and it's time to retire to a quiet island somewhere.

I can tell you that it started as early as the week before that performance. Here are some blurry pics I snapped of her trying to dance with somebody at the Prince concert on Friday, 4/29. She tries to climb on stage to join the Purple One, and when security turns her back, she takes the stair railing as her dance partner. It was quite a scene.

This is too hilarious if true! I love Whitney, but boy has she messed up her career and left herself looking so stupid in these last few years. WE all know how Prince feels about drugs & alcohol, no way he'd tolerate that from her! P is too classy for that!

I'm surprised she is not more popular in the Non Prince Music forum, where tons of washed up R&B acts seem to be alive and well.

I remember, in the 80's when I worked at a record store hearing rumours about her drug use before anyone really knew about it. Cocaine is nothing to mess with.

Wow what is your reason for being on this board. Nothing but negative post and those washed up RnB acts have more talent than the Rnb soon to be has beens of the day have.

on the video, Prince seems to treat her well and with respect (she is a great singer). Maybe she finally realized it was time to go to rehab after being banned. Anyway, I hope she recovers.

I was there. Prince and Chaka both handled the situation well...treated Whitney with kindness and respect. She really was in no condition to be on the stage with a mic, IMO.
