Do you think Prince pulled her to the side after letting her perform in L.A. and had a talk with her about getting straight? I know R. Kelly told her he wouldn't work with her until she got herself together. Somehow I think Prince saying that too her carries more weight.

I'd think Chaka had something to do with it before I'd think Prince did.

He probably didn't speak to her at all.

Chaka has had a history of her own problems, she may have given Whitney a good 'talking to.'

He probably called security on her ass..

I agree. It was rumored that Chaka tried to tell Whitney to straighten up but Whitney didn't wanna listen or something to that degree... I think it was around the time Whitney declared herself sober. I doubt Prince said anything or knew how Whitney was.

I hate to say it, but Whitney is outta there. I don't think she'll ever be back [she's already messed up her great voice]. At least Prince didn't let drugs do him in like a lot of other artist. People never seem to give Prince props for that either....

I remember Mary saying in an interview that when folks were kissing her ass, Chaka was the one of the few who told her to get clean up and get your house in order(in her "colorful" language I presume ).

I don't believe Prince ever really did drugs much at all. His work ethic is too strong. I don't believe anyone can do what he has done & have [really bad] drug problems. He may have dabbled, but I can't see Prince as a Drug addict. "Sex" & "Music" addict, YES! "Drug" Addict, NO!

Prince is always talking about preserving the funk or bringing the funk back so it makes perfect sense to run her ass out of the concert because she was the killer of funk. What was she even there for anyway? To finish the job and get rid of funk's last remaining survivor. Her presence there was like Michael Myers showing up to kill Jamie Lee Curtis's daughter.

On TMZ tonight, they did a preview for tomorrow's episode and they mentioned how Whitney was supposedly banned from the rest of Prince's shows in L.A. So, maybe he did have a conversation with her.

Weren't there rumors way back in the day about Prince supposedly pursuing her. Supposedly, Prince, Eddie Murphy, and Michael Jordan were all after her around the same time, and who does she hook up with? Bobby Brown!
