I think a lot of fans were shocked when they thought he was actually going to play it. There was a bit of silence for a min, when they heard a snippet of it, and you could hear a pin drop in the place, then suddenly the fan screaming surfaced, only to find out it was just a tease of the song.

That would be C-OO-L

He could throw that "Gingerbread Man" performance of 12/29 in that movie too, with a scene teasing the female actresses, starring in that clip, to come and get him. That would be equal to his performance of "The Beautiful Ones" where near the end of that song he laid down on the floor screaming, and blew moviegoers away with that scene, and had them talking about it awe when they left the theatre.

3121 Vegas was such a special and fun time, I REALLY hope the movie does get released...sending P lots of positive vibes for this one. Maybe if we all bombard him psychically, he'll get the message.

This is indeed very appetizing! It's odd that it's surfacing now since everyone knows we're due for a new CD/release/project soon (if he stays consistent). I think the tour is just the beginning of something more. He's got America wanting more right now.

Hmmmm……this version is VERY different than the footage I saw of the Lotus Flower movie. Yes, most of the beginning, especially the music portions have been added in.

I don’t usually share, but it’s Sunday and I feel like giving a little, so here is what I know….
The “Movie” was to be part Documentary and part Fiction. Parts of the theme I remember was how someone ( If I remember correctly it was his Brother & Employees) who worked for him was ripping him off. NO LIE, he had a big black guy in the film playing his brother. I remember another scene of a discussion being held, which was shot at the Ivy in LA. The Docu. part is shot like shown in this “trailer” with ppl. talking about the shoot and not really knowing what they are going to shoot, etc. It is “behind the scenes” style footage. It did show quit a bit of Liza, I specifically remember her talking about how great prince was to work with and how honored she was and she showed off her very long false eyelashes! I’m sure the footage of Prince walking down the street was shot when he went to Panama with her. This was not in the the footage I saw. Then in the version I saw, was the the “Million Days” video…again starring Liza.

Do you see a pattern here? Remember how “Purple Rain” was very much “Auto-Biographical”? Well, Lotus Flower is kinda the same……… Tormented relationship where Prince is getting the shaft (in here it’s by his brother & employees)….then there is the beautiful babe that he is after (Liza). The difference is when he was filming this “movie” he was a married man and was not suppose to be after another woman (which was not only in a “make believe” movie). This is why I think the movie never saw the light of day…a little TOO MUCH LIZA going on in many ways!

On top of that when they showed it to the Execs. at a private screening and then asked what they thought…they all said the same thing…..”We don’t get it”! I have to say, the movie did not flow and really didn’t have a clear defined point to it. Unless you knew Prince and could understand what he was trying to say in his own weird cryptic way, the movie would never make any sense!

Doc. what version did you see? I would like to see this full version f the movie….IF he ever finished it!

Is it possible that the project was shelved because the suits didn't get it? That would be a pity because they never "get it"?

It reminds me of a combination of Purple Rain & The Beautiful Xperience....It also shows that beautiful house he was living in & the 3121 parties he use 2 give. This movie has 2 b released. Maybe the JW's didn't approve of it. Maybe he should put a disclaimer at the end like MJ did the "Thriller" video. Liza is easy on the eyes. Why spend all that money & just put it in the vault. I'm pretty sure Prince leaked this 2 Cameron & gave him permision 2 tease us.

Why would Prince leak something to someone who already has the footage? I think it's more that Cameron has posted it as part of his portfolio and may find that Prince doesn't want it out. I wish it was truly a trailer for an upcoming release, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, there's definitely a part in that video clip mirroring parts of the "A Million Days' video. It is a shame the execs didn't "get it" but the fans would have. Judging from the comment Serpan posted from DrF's site someone states about the supposed plot behind the movie, I bet that song "What do you want me to do Girl?" from the Musicology cd, fits right into the plot of that movie, as well as the song "Marrying Kind". I can also see "Walk in the Sand" and "Sea of Everything" tracks being part of that movie as well, if any of the scenes were filmed on a Caribbean island.
