There are many songs I don't like, but ones that actually irritate me (for their lyrics and/or melody)?

Not too many...

Animal Kingdom is #1 - just pisses me off. not interesting, not funny to me, just stoopid.

Ronnie Talk To Russia - Politics for grade-schoolers to me, annoying

Avalanche - Love the music, but the lyrics are unbearable, so it gets a hate vote.

Well, when ya got someone like Prince who turns out a lotta stuff, you can't like everything...

Cream - I Can't listen to that garbage. No.1 or not.

Can't Stop This Feeling I Got - I didn't like the 'Footloose' version either.
Arms of Orion- Sheena Easton had to know better. Prince, this should've been a bootleg.

Baby Knows - Taints the whole album. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Style - It sucks but Prince can't see past shining his own ego.

Beautiful Night - It's supposed to be live but it isn't. It's not supposed to be a hot mess, but it is.

Planet Earth (the entire album except the title track. I think he meant well there. The rest is just Prince being lazy and empty. When he say "Ahhhh, you know the rest . . . " in 'Guitar,' that sums up his approach to the entire album.

I Wish U Heaven (extended version) - Why ruin such a great track? Because you can?!

Not to nitpick, but in that situation it's not the song that is irritating - it's the constant playing of the song that's irritating.

It's like if you love pizza so your wife makes it for dinner every day. After a week or so, you get to a point where you can't stand it anymore. It's not that you hate pizza or your wife, you just hate coming home to the same damn meal every day.

Positivity drives me nuts. It’s got to be one of the all-time worst Prince songs. Positivity is the song that takes Lovesexy from being weird but good to incoherent and medicore.
