there are a lot of songs/albums that I dislike (most of the slow sappy ballads) but they don't irritate me like what I listed above.

some are pretty obvious, but others had me going

i don't think there are any prince songs that actually irritate me. apart from

perhaps "pussy control" since that chorus is really, really screechy.

the rest of most of these songs mentioned are either goofy or have dated a

bit badly.

one of perhaps 2 or 3 songs in his entire catalogue that i just cannot bring

myself to listen to *ever* is "planet earth" since that "could it be magic"

bridge in it is just too sad/horrible for words.

beyond that, you couldn't irritate me with a single prince song, no matter if

you put it on once or a dozen times on repeat.

PR came out my senior year. It took me years to get into it.

I've been a Prince fan pre & post PR.

The 2 songs that stand out are Purple Rain (so overplayed, but I love the guitar solo) and Darlin Nikki - something about the music in this one irritates me.

Mind you I fell off Prince after he changed his name to "symbol". I just picked up LotusFlower and plan on listening to Musicology this weekend.

I'm not a MJ fan... I liked some of his songs, that's about it.

Don't make assumptions based on part of what you read. And, uh, deciding who is qualified to judge music? Nice touch.

I'd like to think you're joking, but the sad thing is, you probably aren't.

It wasn't until I heard "Sign O the Times" that I really said, "Wow!"

I went back and listened to the older stuff after I realized that I had become a "fan" along the way and decided that I liked most of it.

Not everyone likes the same thing... What is so hard about that concept?
