Soooooooooo, Australian Fans

Sheila E tweeted about teaming up with P for the upcoming Tours, i asked if Australia was on the cards and she tweeted back, 'I promised u' ..i am assuming that is a yes????

excited

That's probably the best indication yet - as with all things Prince, nothing's confirmed until the dates are announced, the tickets are sold and he walks on stage wink but that seems to confirm that we're at least in the plan!!

Thanks for posting!!

I hope you guys get the chance to see him soon, 2003 is a looong time ago.

Oh, I hope so!!!

Ideally I'd love him to make it really worth his while by doing a 21 nights style residency...even though I realise that's probably really unrealistic neutral

But flying down from wherever he plays in Asia to do a few shows isn't quite as bad as coming from the US or Europe. I still have my fingers crossed that he makes it down here this time, but if he heads back to the US straight from Asia, well then, I'm holding onto my residency idea post-US tour lol

I'm quite sure he could manage some kind of residency in Australia, maybe not on the scale of 21Nights, but i'm sure he could pack out half a dozen or so gigs each in the major Aussie cities.

Over the weekend, (10/23-24), radio station WKTU 103.5 gave away tickets for the "Welcome2America" tour, to some lucky NY/NJ Prince fans. Two Prince.org members, actually won tickets on Saturday, 10/23 when they called into WKTU 103.5, and were the 103rd callers. Congrats to (pumpkin71 and jgreco7). WKTU 103.5 also stated the dates of those shows, as well as the ticket sale date, which they claim is Saturday, October 30th. How official or accurate is this ticket sale date info? No one really knows, since there has been no news directly from Livenation nor the main source, aka "The Purple One" or from anyone inside his purple camp, about the actual ticket sale date(s). 10/26 See 1st page of thread for updated information.

Live nation has "finally" confirmed a ticket sale(s) date for the Welcome2America.

Tickets go on sale starting Saturday, October 30, 2010.

http://promo.livenation.c...homeA_4_f1

From www.moquake.com

Good news for fans in NYC who've been awaiting info on the "Welcome 2 America" shows - we've finally got some ticket news !

The dates that MoQuake revealed last week have now been 100% confirmed and tickets go on sale Saturday, October 30 at 10am. Tickets will be available at LiveNation.com. Tickets will also be available through Charge By Phone 800.745.3000, select Ticketmaster locations and respective box offices. Tickets will be starting at the bargain price of $20.10 plus applicable service charges.

In addition, Live Nation are running a contest to win travel and tickets on their Facebook page here (Open to US residents only I'm afraid <img src=" /> )

If some or all the tickets are at that price, it seems pretty affordable. It would help take some of the sting out of some fans' pockets, who are travelling from outside NY, and have to pay airline/hotel prices. Check out the video of the Apollo on that advertisement. There are some fans (including org members) shown being interviewed, and standing on line waiting to get into the press conference at the Apollo. I also see myself in there covering up with my black umbrella, behind the 2nd guy being interviewed. I didn't want to get caught on tv by anyone from my job seeing me on line, since I made up some excuse to leave work early, to get to the press conference at the Apollo. Those tv people were annoying though. lol The news reporter lady, kept asking fans on the line if they could sing Purple Rain or some other Prince song. lol Anyway, I'm glad Livenation finally, officially announced/confirmed the dates of the shows/ticket sales date.

i truly belive god keeps me away from some people cause if that reporter would have came 2 me with that bullshit of singing purple rain i would have flipped it on her and ask her "is that the only damn song u know by him? how about u sing "hot wit u"? how about u sing "silicon" , how about "somewhere here on earth"? she would have moved on don't u think?

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I know, when I saw you I was shocked. There will be a mad rush for tickets, but hopefully they don't sell out in minutes like at the Musicology show. I remembered a half-hour after that, MSG opened another date for the show because the 1st date of the MSG show, during the Musicolgy show, sold out in less than 15 minutes.

Prince coming to America dates confirmed

Well, some dates that showed up last week first on a scalper site have turned out to be true.

The first few dates of Prince’s “Welcome 2 America” event are:

Dec. 15 East Rutherford, NJ Izod Center
Dec. 17 East Rutherford, NJ Izod Center
Dec. 18 New York, NY Madison Square Garden

Jon Bream Of the Startribune confirmed the dates early this morning and then Live Nation shortly posted an official press release with the dates. Someone emailed us advising they are already giving away tickets on the radio and LiveNation will be giving away tickets through their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Twitter.com/LiveNation Facebook Live Nation

Tickets will go on sale Saturday October 30th and prices will start at $20.10 (hmm.)

Live Nation needs to promote the shit out of this concert series. These Prince posters need to be on all the buses, the subway, commuter railroads and yellow cabs all over the city and the Tri-State area. Hell, the Empire State Building needs to be purple the days Prince is playing here. This needs to be big news here in NYC.

I hear you. I hope they are posted in Times Square and all over the NY City/NJ buses, like they did for the Musicology tour. Those advertisements caught a lot of attention. Matter of fact there are 4 poster pics on the LiveNation.com site, fans could probably print off and advertise on their facebook/myspace, websites.

Now, let's hope the tickets, that are over $20.10, are not "too damn high!", lol (as Jimmy McMillan would say) so that they are affordable for Prince fans to purchase.
